    Engine swap

Well after our run in October my engine needed to be swapped out after running a puddle (I mean lake) that was too deep for my JK. (35" tires and 4 1/2" lift) Changed out the clutch (again) and after several oil changes realized the inevitable, motor was fawked. After finding a smokin' deal from MBRP in Huntsville (thanks Steve) I got a motor with 20k km for $750, including alternator, clutch, AC compressor, ECU, etc. My beast is in mid transplant as we speak and I will post some photos tonight. I am going to end up with a boat load of extra engine parts for a 3.8 in my garage. If anyone needs anything PM me and we'll see what we can do.

Another thanks to Thing1 for trailering me all the way home from Bobcaygeon on that fateful day. Hopefully the heart will start pumping again tomorrow.

    Brutal!

Take pics, please. I know I've always looked at the JK's engine bay and wondered how hard it'd be to wrench on...

    Thing1, good on you, man.

If I was a Jeep, they'd have parted me out a LONG time ago.

And to think I almost followed you and Jeff... And if memory serves me correctly, I think that lake got deeper as we pulled you out.

BTW, that is one hell of a deal on an engine. I'm glad you're closer to getting it up and running again.

I've also tried the compressing of water.

Nice to see someone else shares my sense of curiosity.

my buddy swamped his 07 jk, he ended up getting a crate engine( $4000 bucks later)
runs great and has a shiny new snorkel. its funny that 350 for a snorkel can save thousands.
