    1989 YJ Sahara rebuild

    Started with stock sahara yj
    Looked good until disassembly.
Tub is being replaced by California rust free tub.
Going to body shop where I just epoxy primed sandblasted frame , axles and small parts. Bringing home frame and parts today.
    Already ordered body bushing kit.

I will get pics on soon, and will keep rebuild updated.
    Thx Jeepkings

nice man, my buddy Nick(Nickyb_33) is building a 89 yj sahara!!!

so far hes done the body, just needs paint, and hes installed a 4" rough country lift!

    cant wait for pics
No fingers, no toes, she doesn't own elbows,
No phalanges no knobby knees to knock.
She don't need knuckles or hands to go see punk rock bands, She's always in the stands, she's nubs

Sandblasted all parts so far. Then primed them with Utech epoxy primer.
Epoxy contains paint sealant, covers, seals, finishes flat black.
    No rust.
    Great factory look.

    Will have rolling frame Wed.

Anyone selling some gambler or nice aftermarket rims?

    There ya go bud.

Looking good, wish I knew about POR and epoxy paints when I did mine. Tremclad works well in 15 thick layers though...

    frame

It is the original yj frame for Sahara. I needed to do some small welding on rear after sandblasting.
Before I prime frame, I drill 2 1/2 holes under rear frame near bumper for draining, plus I suggest oiling or krowning frame and jeep after.

I seen you have already picked up tub, good stuff. I also locate rust free tubs and frames from California. Stuff is like brand new sheetmetal, very nice to replace and work with. Later this week, or early next week. I will be putting southern tub on project Sahara. Just waiting for replacement tank and put lines back in before tub mounting.

    Keep checking back for updates.

    Talk soon

    Oil pan problem today
Ordered new oil pan, rear sump hole about 6 inches away from Trans
Old pan has sump right by trans, and not as deep.
Motor is a rebuild, wondering if this is different motor?
    Can anyone help?
    Thx
    Bill
