    Rear bumper build

A friend and I finally got started on a rear bumper for my truck..it has been 2 years without one.

I forgot my camera when we were building it, but he took some pics with his camera phone. I'l try to get them up later

We wanted something similar to this

but with room to mount a license plate on the back

This is what we came up with...keep in mind it is not finished. we are going to recess the license plate and add tow points and lights

I cut about 10 inches off the bottom of the box and my really expensive flares

the bumper goes out to the edge of the flares and tapers back close to the body at the back

Its a high clearance bumper...my buddy only stopped because he was going to hit my tailpipe

Looks great. The only thing I would have done is recessed the lecense plate mount since it will be prone to being impacted or torn off where it is located. Also don't forget about a light for it as well so the MTO stays off your back. Lastly what are you doing for recovery points on it?
