    Project "Not an Army Truck!!!"

yes, she is due for a paint job, not to look like an army truck. I need good ideas, the engine bay and engine are staying green, so that should be somehow worked into the detail. something 2 or even 3 tone is not out of the question. The interior will be repainted to "match" as well

Personally I like maroon, orange, yellow, silver and dark blue but any suggestions will be considered. would a different color engine bat look "ghey"? if it's all one color on the outside?

sorry, it's a 1970 mercedes unimog 406, 5.6L diesel. top speed of 73km with the old engine, should be up to 85 with the new one going in, and I just might hot 95km with the new tires. Currently has 12.5r20s, which are about 40s, I'm looking for 14.5 or 15.5 r20s which would be 44-46 tall.

yes, the tires are going. I once saw an all orange truck i liked, but I dont know how to work the green into it

here is one I like, though I'd be more a reddish orange. I'm thinking maybe paint the bed silver and go with body colormatched rims

I'd ask you to step away from the welder, but it might do the world some good if you clamp the ground electrode to your big toe, put the MIG handle to your temple and pull the trigger.

yes, the gears can be changed, but I dont have the extra $$ for it, I need the tires for safety. it has 6.5:1, I can get 6:1, or do a ring and pinion and portal combo for even faster. I'll see hhow it is once I get it on the road

Photoshop. I'm not very good at it but I can try other colours if you'd like.

The wheels didn't colour very well so they're just B&W

yep, did a mad rush to get it, has 2000 hours, had a mb rebhuild tag on it, out of a 416. I painted it. Kinda wish I would have done a different color. The engine is in just have to mount a couple brackets and tighten a lot of bolts. And drop the cab. I smashed the drivers headlight tilting it Fawk
