Very Nice . If you need to do some TIG welds to reinforce any joints you can always stop in and do some at my place.
    Cheers

that where i got them billy, the price was right and they where shipped form BC so no mystery tax at the border. i may or may not have a couple extra, not too sure if i'm going to use them yet

and it's not a fire extinguisher per say, it's my mobile power washing unit LOL

Nice piece of work, and kudos for not letting the lack of weld stop you!

If I was a Jeep, they'd have parted me out a LONG time ago.

so i got to press the vice into use today. worked like a dream with only 1 little problem. ether i'm too tall or my jeeps too short. i'm not planning on shrinking anytime soon so the jeep could stand to go up another 5 or 6 inches. after a couple minis of standing with a crooked back i figured out that a 10 gal bucket was the right height for a seat. problem solved for the time being

the OBA worked swimmingly at JK 101 after i worked out the wiring kinks. still looking for a couple missing parts but it works so i'm not gonna fawk with it. there will always be little problems that i have to work out but thats just what jeeps are, big works in progress

well i think it's about time for a update

the box has been in for some time now and the kinks are starting to show. the biggest one being the air leak somewhere in the maze of fittings. it will hold air for 4-5 hours before the pump kicks back on. it's driving me nuts and will be delt with in due time

another problem is that the rivets holding the lift shocks on can't quite bare the load. so some reinforcements will be fabbed up when i get to it

storage for all the lose crap that floats around is still a problem but i have a couple ideas on that, i'll see what works best and let you guys know

    now for the good news................

my jeep is a horny girl

thats how they started out but there was no way they would fit under the hood. a quick grind or two later and i had myself 3 horns. scratched my head for a bit on how and where to place them but came to this placement

i used just simple angle iron and cable clamps to hold it all together. the bug screen is just a temporary stop gap measure till i find something that looks better.

if you guys have any ideas let me know

Looks good! The horns are a little overkill but hey.. it's there, right?

One suggestion; fit tie-down loops to the floor of the box and ratchet strap down your tool boxes inside. I'd even suggest grabbing some cheap foam and stuffing it in the boxes to keep the sockets from rattling & your test light bulb from breaking.

You ever think about just rotating the airline reel 90°and opening the toolbox when you need it? Stick a rubber plug in the side of the box? Or better, a rear 12V power outlet?

ya the horns are a little over kill, but oh so much fun. it's my way of reaching out and saying F-YOU to the douchbags of the highways.

the air line was going to be facing forward but i had to turn it that way to make the inverter fit. i can't still get to the inverter when i'm in my seat so it's all good. nothing rattles in the back so its not a big deal. i just need to sort out the quick grab stuff. maybe dock cleats and bungy cords on the lid. maybe a bungy cargo net, i'm still in the air about that

what is this test bulb you speak of?

also, anybody know if there is such a thing like a teflon grommit? the airhose has ate though the rubber one

it's not a tight fit though. its just that always pulling it to the front wears out the rubber
