Question HELP, something wierd going on with front axle

    Ok a little history.
Installed richmond gear locker over the winter in the D30 of my jeep.
I have been out with it twice and both times I have broken a DS u joint. Before everyone starts on the D30 and yadayadayada.
When these broke on both occasions I was backing up. The last break also caused me to push the ball joints apart. So I replaced the d30 with another spare I had.
So today I am replacing the DS shaft/wheel bearing. I got a shaft out of 89, my axle is an 92 I put my wheel bearing on as it is new. I tighten everything up and I can't move the wheel hub more than a 1/4 turn WTF. So I open the diff. nothing wrong there. I remove the bolts holding the shaft and wheel bearing in place and try again. This time it turns, but it pushes the wheel bearing out about 3 mm. So, I put the wheel bearing back in place and repeat, same thing, wheel bearing pops out ever so slightly. I take the an old shaft I have, throw it in the axle and everything is fine.
Coincidence? or is maybe the front locking up on me and it is just snapping because there is something going on with the locker?

    Anyone got any ideas?
WARNING! I am about to do something really fawking STUPID!!!!!!
