    1995 Jeep Black J Build

In January I started this build with a bone stock 1995 Wrangler S with 130 000 km.

As of today it sits with the following

    35" Mickey Thompson MTZ's
15" Keystone Soft 8's with American Racing Center Cap's
4.5 Rubicon Express Extreme Duty Lift
    Smittybilt Stinger
    Titan TW 12 Winch
    2.5L Low Output
    Rubicon Express Double Cardan Shaft
    AA SYE
    Small T-case drop
    Bestop Duster
    Custom Sawzall Hardtop
    Bestop Windjammer
    4.10 Gears

Where I would like to continue going

Ford 8.8 swap with discs and trac lok
    Terra low 4:1 kit
    Locker in the front
    Solid Diff Covers
    Heavy Duty Tie Rod Assembly
Future 350 Chevy with SM456 Tranny
    1 " BL
    37" Mud Grapplers
    Half Doors

Let me know what you guys think I should do next first, I can't decide!

    Nice buildup!

Looks like some fun wheeling too. 35's on stock gears and 4.10's?

If I was a Jeep, they'd have parted me out a LONG time ago.

    My opinion...

Loose the tcase drop, do a 1" BL and then do a high clearance skid...if you have the Double Cardon, you should be able to roll the rear axle to stop any vibe...and when you go to an 8.8 you can set up the perches correctly for pinion angle...

Stretch the wheelbase some...and open up the fenders with TJ flares and/or tube fenders...go highline on the fenders even...the stretched wheelbase and raised fenders on the Lossecannon YJ with zero to little lift looks phenomenal, it currently sits on 37s with plenty of room for larger tires and the top of the cage sits lower than most TJs on 33s!!! The stance looks awesome!

If your future plans include a 350 swap do your homework before spending money on axles, an 8.8 swap if a great idea for the 4 bagger you are running now, but not the best fit for a V8 and the d30 up front will have to go.

Looks like you have a great wheeler so far, just do your reading before spending more money doing things twice.

I would lose the t-case drop if I could run a bigger shim on the 35, its just the vibes I get without the drop or horrid, I have 4 degree shims now btw... I am not wasting my time rewelding the perches on the 35 to get the right angle for the t case drop to go away, I plan to do this when the 8.8 goes in...

Regarding the second part of your opinion, keep in mind I drive this 40 min one way every day right now lol
This will end when I start commuting to toronto in the fall, but untill then she has to be daily driven...

I have done some serious homework on the 350 swap, I believe the 8.8 and 30 will be suitable for my driving style, I sadly have seen Dana 35's behind 350 Chevy's and survive!
I dont mind having the Dana 35 back there with the 4 cyl and 35" MTZ's, I dont drive to break stuff and I know when im stuck lol... I drove a 98 F-150 with a built 4.6l on 35's hard with the 8.8 behind me and it held up, im confident in it. I also understand that motor and tranny mounts need to be made, also an adapter to my np 231 will be needed. Large rad, fuel delivery etc... I'm loving every second of the rig the way it is for this season and will continue on to the next stage this fall! Thanks for the input guys!
