Bio adds more to his plate!

with a buggy 1/8 way built and a baby comming any day now, a nursery half drywallded and trying to run a landscape business and work fulltime smashing atoms i figured, one more project wouldnt kill me, right?!? So woth the death of the good old yj i went out and bought an MJ. Figured all i would do is safety it and drive it. oopps.

first hade to remove the bed liner that went up and around the rear wheel well.

with that done figure i would start on actually geting it ready for safety. the ball joints and front breaks look a bit old and figured i should replace them. no big deal except it was a 2wd truck so why dump $$ into that. so out comes the front axle!

Now sincwe i hade to take out the front end, and i dont know when to leave well enough alone, i decided to use up that old 4.5" RE lift i had laying around. which ment cuting and lengthening the trackbar and making a new mount.

so will all that done i figured were ready to go. got it back yesterday from the shop. somehow with the time i spend under this thing i missed a 26" long section of rotted out frame/unibody so i just gotta repair that and were good to go. just gotta get some shackles made up to level out the rear and i think i might eith lower it an inch or look into some better sterering. The bench seat has got to go! its killing my already gestroyed back. other than that its a nice little vehicle to drive!! however i dought i will ever be done "working" on it. till i find somthing else to attract my attention

Bio - It's called 'target fixation', and you're in good company. Fighter pilots get it; usually focusing too much on the guy they're trying to shoot down to see that they're about to hit a mountain.

Nice build up! I love the rationalization for the front axle... When do the tranny & t-case go in?

If I was a Jeep, they'd have parted me out a LONG time ago.
