    2010 jeepkings Christmas Auction Planning

I know its hard to mention christmas when the temperatures are still soaring and wheeling season is still going strong. However we are in the planning stages of this years jeepkings Christmas Auction. Our goal is to double our contribution to the charities this year. We are looking for people to donate items for auction. If you know of any companies that would be willing to donate to us please let jeanie, muddbunny or myself know and we can arrange for pick up.

Also we will be setting up people to collect toys and food, to add to what we purchase this year. We will have a list of names of people collecting in different areas as soon as we complete some more of the planning.

We will have details of this years jeepkings christmas party Soon

    Thanks
    British Bulldog

The Charities that we are supporting this year are the Good Shepherd Centre and the CHML Children's Fund.

Just to give you an idea of how much we can help, The Good Shepherd alone distributed toys to over 4,000 children in Hamilton last year. The CHML Children's fund distributed over 10,000 toys to various agencys across the region, plus $198,000 last year, they were still delivering toys as late as Christmas Eve.

All donations count and are appreciated, please give generously to our children!!!!

Below is copied from the Y108 website:

    VISION STATEMENT:
The CHML/Y108 CHILDREN’S FUND is respected in the community for providing vital funding to, and ongoing awareness of, children’s causes, programs and services in the Hamilton/Burlington area, working in partnership with CHML and Y108 as an independent non-governmental charitable organization

    VALUES:
Commitment to children. Accountability to donors. Respect in the community. Faith in each other.

    CHARITY NUMBER:
    (Registered Charity #11922 2578 RR0001

The fund was established in 1976 by AM900 CHML with a mandate to assist and fund children’s causes and programs in Hamilton/Halton. It became a legally registered charity with tax exempt status shortly after. Fundraising activities are orchestrated year round by AM900 CHML and Y108, with our major drive being the CHML/Y108 CHRISTMAS TREE OF HOPE campaign.

All monies are distributed annually to local organizations that cater specifically to the needs of local children, at Christmas and throughout the year. The fund is administered by a volunteer board, and all airtime is donated by Corus Entertainment Inc
