I was on a run where someone knocked their Evap off.....I have heard others that say that you must either relocate it or skid it......you can still drive without it...but it really effects the performance......lose lots of power.

I think I'm going with the Poison Spyder Evap skid and Rancho Oil Pan skid.

Just in front of the rear axle, drivers side between the driveshaft and exhaust pipe. It's the only thing on the JK without factory installed protection. (aside from the Oil Pan - which is already pretty high up in my opinion - way higher than the diffs)

I've got the RockHard evap skid - feels beefy enough and was only a 10 minute install.

OK.....I ordered the Rancho Oil pan skid and Poison Spyder Evap skid. Next will probably be a new tie rod or front skid plate.

Little by little ....she's growing up!

    Re: NEED ADVICE on SKID/ARMOUR...........

I put a full set of Polly performance skids on mine... Ill be doing the poison spider evap skid as soon as i replace my evap... From my first trip off road that involved rocks.

Im glad i did the Polly pro skids though. I based the crap out of my trans skid with no repercussions where as another guy i was out with came back looking for a new trans crossmember... Whatever you protect first you will probably bash something else. My plans are different covers after i get the evap done.
