    need help with knock in bottom end of my 96 eagle talon tsi(awd-turbo)

    hi all im looking to see if ne one can help me with a knock im having in the bottom end of my 96 eagle talon tsi .it is a 2.0l turbo i bought it from a guy who did a bounch of work to the top end but not the bottom end.it runs good at an idle but once u rev it up alittle u can hear a knock in the bottom end.ive had a few friends look at it an sum said its a journal bearing but no one can tell for sure.ne one out there have ne knowlage of these motors????????

    It's hard to say without hearing the noise...could be rod bearing, or wrist pin, or piston slap, or.......

    It sounds like a main bearing is toast... probably spun in the block.

    crank walk.. you most likely have a 4g63 7 bolt.. its a common problem on the 7bolt engines.

    yes ive done some looking into it and it is 4g63 7 bolt crank...and i have also heard that this a common problem with that motor

    ill buy the car off ya. lol. had a few of the actually good non neon motor 6 bolts. if you wanna get rid of it you know where i am
    '99 superduty, 7.3L diesel. 4x4, ex cab short box. edge evolution programmer. straight pipe, torque converter lock up switch. single 7" stack, built tranny with some billet bits inside, 7' trac bars, pyro,boost an tranny guages. 4" lift in the front 5" rear. 305 70 16 mickey thompson baja mtz's on m/t classic 2's. now with dana 60 front, 10.5" rear 3:7.3's. 5" airlift bags in the rear.

    2002 polaris pro-x 440 with 2004 600 motor. walker evans remotes all the way around.

    how much?here a list of things we just did to the car .....New 4G63T motor, all new brakes, Blow off valve 1g crushed, highflow upper intercooler piping, new T25 Garret turbo, stainless oil feed line SS,all new accessory belts, timing belt upper and lower, balance shaft kit, crank position sensor, cam position sensor, sanded valve cover, HKS Super Mega Flow Reloaded intake Kit, output shaft seals, thick wall Extreme PSI vacuum lines,all new top of line fluids, new rear wiper motor, new jndercoating, new energizer battery, I have 17" Enkie rims with low pro tires on it now, . Engine bay is painted black. ........illl try and put pics up
