    Hot Dip Galvanized!!

    Just got my TMR rock guards back --nice and shiny. I'm gonna post up the install this weekend.

    from the looks of it he got them hot dip galvanized, idk why he wants to go powdercoat for a slider though?

    Sorry was just excited. Yes they are galvanized. May be the pic from the phone is a touch off. Besides powdercoating what do you recommend?

    Really?? Hot Dipped Galv is normally very dull grey ... that looks more like a clear zinc or mechanical galv plating.

    I just painted mine with "Rust Bullet" Paint ... they are gonna get scratched and dinged if you wheel it, touch up's are easy with paint. Only place to buy it in Eastern Canada is here: http://www.kapcor.ca/

    I'd just put a nice coat of paint on them. They'll get scratched anyway... at least this way you can wash the truck and give 'em a touch up after a hard run.

    Thats not to shiny for Galv... my frame came out the same. I guess it depends on who does it and whats its for...
    Where was it done? I got my stuff done at Pure Metal Galvanizing in Mississauga

    My uncle did it through his factory. I'm not sure where. I know he does railings and such. It didn't cost me anything so I figured why not. The powder coating is a no charge too. I guess when they get worked over I can paint them.
