Hey, I am attempting to save money and make a long arm lift for my jeep grand. Does anyone have specs on how to build one or a general layout, it would be a huge help thanks,

The only problem is the difference between an xj and zj , xj's use leaf as well as bent front control arms

You can see my build at the location below and maybe it can give you a few ideas.

if you search my user name you can find a thread that i commented in about this.

There is no one design that fits all and building a ZJ requires some heavy construction, just dont build it with a D44, I made that mistake and the vehicle is just too heavy. I can break the front axle at will with 37's and a 318.
95 ZJ 5.2L, Custom long arm 4 link Rear 3 link panhard front. D44/9" 4.88's locked and spooled,37x12.5 MTRs, 1 ton steering, Currently bumperless but rolling.

Staang has a nice kit. i"ve seen a couple of ZJ's running his long arms. radius arms on front, 4 link rear. I'm still debating that on my truck (wife's d.d.- and she ain't tall)

I'm either going with Clayton's or going to get Staang to mock something up for me when I do mine.

If you're serious about building your own stuff check over at http://www.mallcrawlin.com all they do is Grands. Lots and lots of information over there, suggestions, plans etc.

Of course the simple routes have been listed in this thread and is the common choice. Keep us posted whatever you choose, i'd love to see a build.
