    iPhone apps/games?

Any recommendations on good games or apps for the iPhone?

I'm into financial matters, so if you want I can give a list of good apps for that. But for games, Street Fighter 4 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit are pretty good. I've yet to find a good Jeep or 4 wheeling game.

Depending on where you bank, there are some good apps to do online banking on your iphone. I know TD, RBC and ING have apps that work well. No idea about any others. I use the TD app frequently. If you are registered to view bills online, you can also view them through the app as well.

As for games, I just grabbed N.O.V.A. 2 and it is intense as hell. It is a futuristic first person shooter game but the gyroscopic controls and graphics are the best I have ever seen. And I'm not much for first person shooters - I tend to suck at them....but this is that cool. The downside is that it is 716MB so you will need some free space on your phone! But that gives you an idea of the level of game this is.

Edit: Alpine Crawler is a good rock crawler game - simple but challenging. Apparently, there is an Alpine Extreme as well but I don't know too much about it...

I have an account with TD, and yeah theirs is nice and easy to use. I also have stock watchers, news alerts, mortgage calculators and stuff if anyone is interested.

I'm gonna check out Alpine crawler. And Curt, I think I have a level as well It also comes with some other tools, like a light weight scale for drug dealers. But the flashlight app is certainly handy.

^ Nice list, thanks. I have a few of the ones you've listed, but I gotta try Dragon Dictation. It'll be handy if it works well. I tried out the Canadian Tire app and it was buggy, the GPS locator or whatever was on all the time using data, so I had to restart the phone and delete the app. Hopefully its fixed now.

A few other decent ones are:

    Tim Hortons,
Live Cam: Check out traffic cams, beach cams and stuff, pointless voyeuristic app, but fun for a bit.
680 news app isn't bad either. Headlines, plus decent traffic reports and traffic cameras around the GTA.
CBC Radio 1: OK for the news, but some of their comdy stuff is pretty good.
Stitcher: It carries news and shows from BBC, NPR, and CBC. They have a TONNE of show podcasts, including car and driver, comedy shows, a whack of financial news and what not. If you like talk radio, this is a very good app.

^ Thanks for Wunder, I just tried it out, it'll do. Its nice because a couple of stations I listen to don't have their own app, and require flash, but Wunder took care of that.

Try Stitcher if you like talk shows, car shows and what not. They also have recorded pod casts, as well live stations, but not as many stations as Wunder.

Many applications ask me to allow them to know my location, and I always say no. Whats the point of this? Some make sense because they want to find a store close to where I am. But other apps it just feels like big brother, or someone trying to collect data for advertisers.

And ummm, I'm sure you have a legitimate reason for learning how to tie knots

You're exactly right on the GPS location. It's targeted marketing. If you're close to a Best Buy, a Best Buy banner will start scrolling on your screen. If you decline, it'll just throw a random one.

I've been listening to the 5-0 for a while, and they used to have Pearson Air Traffic Controller, but it's gone now. The pro version also has a bunch of radio stations from the world, but not as good ad Wunder.

I have labrynth which is kinda fun. Zombie farm-like farmville but you grow zombies and use them in your zombie army to fight your neighbours. iMDB is good for settling bets. the LCBO app is neat if you like your giggle juice.
