More info. What year truck. Sure it isn't a 6.0l. Would it not have IFS making the front useless to a YJ. Keep fuel injection, going carb/propane? Trans? T-Case?

    Everything custom.

I prefer to build it and not buy it, you see it, I probably made it.

As said, need more info. Unless it's an old 6.2/6.5 diesel, it would be a 6.0 (don't think the LS-ish 6.2 is in the 2500's yet). Lots of info around for 6.0 swaps and what is needed. Trans might be a bit long in a YJ without a stretch, but could be doable.

i would assume you mean 6.0l because your saying a 2500hd. the motor will work fine as its the same size as the 5.3. but the tranny and transfercase will be a 4l80 being from a 2500hd which will be alot larger in size and heavier then a 4l60. might be tight for space length wise and height wise. the rear axle will be fine to use but the front will be ifs so it wont be any good to you

Problem with the front is it is Independent isn't it, not a straight axle. Or are you trying to use the IFS for some reason?

I've seen a GM IFS swapped into a heep. What a gayed up train wreck and waste of time. The very worst of both worlds.

If you want an IFS heep, just buy a Liberty.

    6.1 in an 89' yj?

Just slap the Yj body on the Chevy frame after you chop a couple feet out of it. Then you'll have the ultimate rainbowmobile.

one quarter turn before something breaks is a good torque spec.
