    Hard Ride, my motorcycle pilgrimage

I created a blog to chronicle my attempt this summer to ride from Parry Sound to Key West. For those who don't know me the blog prologue will explain the 'hard ride' part.
    Hope you enjoy reading it.

heheh, no worries. Roadkill BBQ fits right in between my June 4th warm up ride to Mattawa and my June 18th warm-up ride to Oakville
The Key West trip starts in July.

    Awesome, Kudos and God speed.

How about possibly stopping and meeting up with people from here at different locations? Grab a bite, stretch your legs, chit chat, whatever. I'm a little over 2 hours from you, and you're welcome for drinks, food, maybe some help with the bikes.

Thanks for the offer MD but my best friend lives in Burlington so that will likely be the first stop when we head to Key West. We only hope to stop when it's absolutely necessary or else it will take us a week just to get there, lol. As it is I think it will take me about 5 days to get to Key West.
We have a friend's place to stop, sleep, eat and relax about half way through Florida too, so I guess the rest of the nights will be in motels. We aren't on any set schedule or anything so you never know what might happen, lol.

Maybe I should PM you my number anyways. I have a truck and trailer, and what's that old saying about Harleys? Ride for an hour, repair for four

Take lots of pictures and update the blog, I'll be watching. Bike week is on my bucket list, so hopefully one day I'll do the trip as well.

Do yourself a favour, pick up a velcro back brace and throw it in the side bag, comes in really handy after/during a long ride.
my wife (RIP) hated my jeep too so i ran her over with it and now we are both happier (me and the jeep)

LOL, ya well that's why I went with a newer bike with very low KMs. Should be problem free for a while yet.

I don't like having a back rest. I feel claustrophobic with one for some reason. Also, I still have the stock police seat and they mount further back and have the airbag under them so I don't know if the backrest can mount where they are designed to.

WAYYYY ahead of you. 20 years with Psoriatic Arthritis and I have knee braces, elbow braces, neck braces, wrist braces, wraps of every kind and yes, back braces, heheh. Had to use any or all of them at one time or another, lol.

Nice! Ya, I have some pegs hanging around here somewhere. I'll likely find a comfortable spot to mount them
