    Hey turtlegirl,
    I think its a 89 or 90 FZR 750 R
The red rims are throwing me off. maybe a newer model???
    Am I close?
I had a FZR 1000 back in 1990. Had it shipped to Germany and toured Europe every summer vacation when I went over.
Ended up selling it 7yrs later for more than what I payed for it.

Bonus points if you can ID this bike (not an FZR 1000)

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

You are correct! It is a 1990 FZR 750R AKA OW01
It features an ex Michel Mercier Chassis which he traded a painting for

It actually had a 1000 motor in it. Here is a better picture of the bike

Some of it is. The engine was built by Scott Miller at Fast Company in Cambridge. The swingarm and other bits and pieces came from Dave Schlosser Dutchman Racing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The bike in the photo was built by my husband, who then sold it after he took a few laps on an R1, which dropped his laptimes by 2 seconds at the Shannonville Fabi circut. The sale of the OW01 helped to fund his racing career.

The Miller / Dutchman bikes were the heavy hitters back in the old Formula USA days. Unlike the 7-11 Suzuki's the OW-1000 combination handled well and was a rocket. The heyday of the 5 valve per cylinder Genesis heads.

Hate track days. Too many street squids who think they are fast. Been a decade since I raced but when the 1000cc bikes are doing 20+ seconds slower than I used to do on a 125GP bike I don't need to ride in their company. They are dangerous to be around. I would rather race for fun with a class that isn't balls to the walls. At least I can trust the guy I am bar to bar with. Can't say that with a track day.

So its official as of today. Proud owner of an 07 HD Ultra Classic. Bought it off my Dad as I always told him to give me first dibs if it ever has to go. Its a few years earlier than I expected, but I'll grow into it.

So he is done with 2 wheels and put his cash down on an 2012 Ultra Trike (he's 71 and has bad arthritis and both artificial knees) but still loves to ride.
