We had a look into this and the roads are all going to be re-opened. And on a side note I will be in despirate need of coffee after the concert and so will many others coming up or staying over night. We can afford to be a little behind schedule

The locals need to see that we invest in the area that we use and try to leave it better than we found it. I believe that if we can make it obvious that we are different from the "Rednecks" that go on these trails and trash them, then the locals will view us differently rather than lump us all together as one group of troublemakers.
Already in the works, thank you for thinking about it the suggestion

    Hi Brian,

I am trying to rally together some help from the toyota group for the holiday weekend. How did you guys make out with the effort so far. We barely made a dent last week when we were there. I'll send a pm with the details from our group later when I have a better idea who's coming and how many saws we can bring.

The response from the local's seems to be good so far. There is still alot of work to be done out there. The atv's have started some paths through the carnage, but you really need full size jeeps to deal with the tree's hanging 6 feet in the air. If I can figure out a place to stay I might be up for coming on the long weekend again.

Anyone Planning on going up this week? I have this week off for reading week and I am willing to help out. Since I'm back in school I can't afford to take my jeep but I am willing to be trail b%$ch and split gas $. Would like to go and comeback same day if possible.

I am willing to work, I have a hoisting and rigging certificate so I am comfortable with winching techniques and quite comfortable with any saw. And I'm bored this week.

    PM Me.

Thanks to Brian and all volunteers who helped out this last weekend. You did a phenominal job !!! Thank you very much indeed.

Given the extent of the blow down additional dates added - besides this coming weekend we are also adding July 9th and 16th. If you wish to help out please email Brian and myself (http://www.of4wd.com/contact.asp) We are keeping a master contact list for updates/info.

we have spoken with the MNR and have the go ahead to start clearing the trails. We are involving the KAVTA groups as well to coordinate efforts to ensure all trails are cleared for all user groups. This is a major undertaking and we need your help!!!!

If you are able to lend a hand please send your name and contact info to brian.sibbles@of4wd.com with your availability dates. Also sate if you are part of a club or group and we will keep you all as a crew. You can also respond to this post in addition to email.

I will start developing a plan so we don;t all end up on one trail standing around. I will be in the area this weekend to assess and possible start doing some clearing. If you can come up that would be great.

If people have time off during the week I am available as well to initiate clean up efforts.

July long weekend will likely be a large clean up weekend as well.

Please support the trail system and community we all enjoy and volunteer, this is what we are good at!!!!

I'll be free for either/both of the July weekends.

Dumb question - does Bobcageon have just one Timmies?

Not a dumb question it's not uncommon for there to be one across the road from the other in a lot of towns. And yes, they only have one it's right on hwy 36 (East Street south). If you look on google maps it's on the block just north of King Street. It's a pretty small town, you can't miss it really.

I helped clear trails on Sunday and was stunned at the destruction that these storms left !!!

We need people to help clear these trails so we can get our Trail System back !!!

What I was very happy to see was the "Joint Effort" between OF4WD & KATVA

Not sure if I can make the long weekend. I'm helping Andi move out (and I'm really not sure how I feel about that...)

Unless something comes up for work, I'm in for July 9th and/or 16th. If the Jeep isn't ready, I'll TB/walk the trail.

Great pics Max, I especially like the ones showing OF4WD members working side by side with ATVers, we could use more of those. This is a great opportunity to break stereotypes with both camps and show we can work on, and share the trail systems together.

Wow, crazy stuff. I am trying to figure out a few details, but would be glad to help Saturday and possibly Sunday of the long weekend.
