Michellin Harmony vs Uniroyal Tiger paw tires?

Anyone have experience with either? It's going on my Civic for summers only.

    Thanks

I worked at a tire shop for a couple years and learned Michelins are probably worth the extra outlay, Harmonys have a pretty good treadlife on them (140,000km I think? Maybe you won't see that as it's fairly subjective, but it's more than anyone else claims for their tires). For summers only I'd definitely look at Michelin Hydroedge too, slightly pricier but are awesome tires with even more treadlife than the Harmonys. If in doubt, ask to see a few of the tires you like side by side in a size similar to what you need, take a close look at the inside, outside, bounce and roll em down an aisle. When we rolled tires around the warehouse Michelins always bounced predictably and tracked in a straight line, Tiger Paws were all over the place. Looking at and handling them, the Tiger Paws looked a lot cheaper than any Michelins.

Interesting sidenote, Ctire has a line of Harmony clone tires that aren't as good, we got about 100 mislabeled ones one day and we could tell the difference by looking at them.

    Thanks silverbullet.

The Michelins were pricier, but are worth the money, and will likely end up being cheaper in the long run. The little Honda feels much more sure footed in the rain, and a little quieter. I'm likely to use Harmonies again for another daily driver.
