When is a good time to sell this monster?

I need to sell my customized 2007 DR-z 400 SM, with a 490 stroker/bore, among a ton of other stuff. Kicker is the bike is in the shop for the stroker/bore install. I had no intentions of buying another bike but the BMW replacing my Ambulance this spring put the whole project on the back burner. Its been a bit of a time and motivation issue to finish the project as I am preparing to grow up and move out, cramming for my licensing exams.

Im debating on whether I can sell it now or am better off waiting until spring when I might have a better chance of putting it all back together? Would someone want to buy a bike that is under the knife, under the promise that it would be done shortly thereafter? How much price difference could this cost me?

i find that you limit your potential buyers when the project is not 100% complete. You might find someone here that would buy it but for the overall population, having it complete is best. i would complete it, make sure any kinks are worked out and than sell it. Spring would be my best guess.

    ^ Agreed.

It doesn't hurt to list it on www.gtamotorcycles.com and kijiji, in case someone is looking for a winter project.

I think you be right re:spring

The market will be plagued with folks horny to get out and ride... I'm going to get it done safetied and dyno'd then sell. Thanks!

If you decide to sell as is, I would suggest advertising it on this site..... http://odsc.on.ca/odsc_photo/

A good bunch of guys and girls that would not be afraid of taking on your project.
