They are nice and visible in the day time as well. If you are doing round led tail lights they are definitely a cool option

I need to update this thread a little bit....it's been a while.

Conquered the front climb on Turkey Hill this weekend in ONE SHOT!!! The climb that almost flipped me on my first run out ever with this rig was tamed!

We did Timber 1, Timber 2, Turkey Hill, and the Rock. Only carnage was on the back climb on Timber 1 I smashed my tie-rod and now it's bent and needs to be redone. That caused my steering ram mount to slide down the arm and we had to re/re it on the trail.
Oh well now Tim from TMR can have more of my money!!! LOL!

I bought them used but essentially brand new and at the beginning they were really stiff....I would go down to 6 and they would look fully aired up still!

I drove them a bunch into town during Phil Factor and NL this year at 10psi and now they get an awesome bulge at 8 on the trail. I like them they seem to work and I can't say that they have limited me any. The one tire is not as round as the others and causes a massive vibe at certain speeds but....it's a Jeep on 40s....so I just deal with it.

Would I buy them over again.....yes I would.....am I going to replace this set with another set....probably not but that's just because I'd like to try something different.

Also my IROKs are the RADIAL.

So winter was so damn cold I didn't do anything on the Jeep. I couldn't go out into the -30 in my garage to swap in my AW4 .

However we've had a few nice days so I've got a few things done. So without further ado.....

Installed the Rigid Industries 10" LED combo (fog/driving) I purchased from TMR Customs. I have to say this kit is fantastic. The wiring was the easiest I have ever done. Everything was self contained and it was awesome. I only had to solder on new spade connectors to adapt it to my Daystar switch setup. I would recommend this bar to anyone interested in an LED bar. Skip the china-crap and get a quality piece backed up by a local business!

Then I moved on and finally installed a set of seats. Picked these up from TMR who had them specially sent up from MasterCraft seats. They are the "Rubicon" model but they are made specially for the US Military to go into their MRAP vehicles. Apparently able to handle 3gs for the IED explosions. Should handle wheeling just fine!
The install was okay. I used the MasterCraft brackets provided for my application. First seat took a little while to mess with. I recommend watching the video MasterCraft has on YouTube. I did that and cut the install time in half for the second seat.

So now I just need to get TMR to make me a harness bar and figure out how to mount the harnesses for the lap belts. The normal seatbelts will do for now.

    Wheeled this weekend....and.....CARNAGE!
First though....everyone lined up....I like this pic....phone background worthy:

CARNAGE....blew up my short-side Dana 60 inner shaft! Balls! At the top of Timber 1 there is a vertical wall...I tried to follow the blueprint up and....no dice...broken shaft as a present. FML.

Thing just exploded. The u-joint was fine....the ears on the yoke didn't go....the casting looks like it went. Weird place to break....so that was the end of my day. Getting off timbers in 2WD sucks huge.

35 spline chromos and TMR drive slugs here I come....

Saw you on the 400 on the way home I was heading north in the company JK. Would have preferred to be up wheeling vs sitting in a parking lot.

That is an ultra-chincy factory axle shaft forging for you. There sure isn't much meat where it failed. A quality aftermarket shaft forging in any alloy is going to be significantly stronger. Just make sure to install some bomb proof u-joints if you go with 4340 shafts. A cheap u-joint that fails can still take out an expensive shaft.

So.....the fix for the axleshaft. USA gear 4340 chromoly full package and Warn 35 spline premium hubs!

Had to chop the shaft down for it to work with the Warn hubs....nothing like cutting down a brand new chromo shaft.

Installing the hubs was pretty simple.

Went up and ran the rock and timber 2 this weekend....my bad luck continues for this season unfortunately.

It was very very soupy around there this weekend. Stuff that is usually no issues was close to impassible for some. Carnage this weekend included the sidewall of my 39.5 IROK, MattK's steering box bolts, a dodge front "selectro" hub, an AW4 shift linkage plastic thing, a tie-rod, and a u-joint. Fun times.

So now it's time to mount the spare up onto the beadlock, search for another spare, and get back out and see what breaks next.
