So this week off I got the GenRight tank mounted and in there.....since it was for an '03 and not for my '99 a little trimming of the tub was required.

Welded up my custom TMR gussets for my spring buckets....really happy with how the boys made these!

Then I stripped off the factory coil buckets in preparation for the TMR Customs coil-over towers and FOA coil overs.

    PAX ARMIS ACQUIRITUR
    99 TJ, HPD60/14B, TMR Customs 3 and 4 link, 40's.

For the price I got them for....it's not worth the hassle of trying to jam a coil, a shock, a control arm mount, and a sway-bar mount on the short side of that 60. Just makes everything cleaner/easier for me.

Sweet....not that the jeep is going anywhere that it needs lights

So more done this days off. Lots of painting done....some other minor work....waiting for parts on the front end at this point.

Gave the 14bolt a nice shave....not a kit but it only cost me 1 sawzall blade 1 grinding disc and a cutoff wheel!

I took it right down to the lowest bolt on the cover.

Gained quite a bit of clearance and smoothed it all out!

Painted the cover....desert camo and OD green!

Painted the whole assembly and hubs

    Painted the pinion guard:

Cleaned out the 33 year old pumpkin with a wire wheel:

Finally I mocked and tacked the front TMR Customs 3 link mounts. The 2 links are on the drivers side.

Big thanks to Tim and Mike at TMR Customs. Those are their stock 3-link brackets but the "c" portion is custom for my build. Due to the new frame sections my frame in those areas is a little taller and a little wider than normal. I had to grind and weld some extensions on to the rear brackets....Tim and Mike made these ones up special and they fit like a glove first time!

So some photos of the recent progress are due.....I fully rebuilt the hubs on the 14bolt. All I need is to get the gears/locker installed and that puppy is ready to be under the rear end for good! Rebuilding them wasn't too much of a PITA really....actually....went a whole lot easier and smoother than I though...
    Apart:

Two fully rebuilt 30 year old hubs:

Pressed in the new studs with the new rotors...looking pretty shiny!!

For fun I threw a set of light/mirror brackets onto the windshield.....I couldn't believe that all of those bolts came out without a fuss....I'm serious too...no problem at all...so odd....

Then I squared up the front TMR 60 truss and tacked it on....

---------- Post added at 01:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:49 AM ----------

Forgot to add....I cleaned up the inside of the 14bolt's pumpkin with a wire wheel...did a pretty good job of getting the rust out.

    Until next time.....

Looking good man. I will come by either this weekend or on Monday to help you out. It's that time of the year dude, we need to get this project rolling so you can show me where the hell I am supposed to take my truck. I have been kindly told that planter boxes are "not an appropriate place" to test out my disco button

    14bolt 5.38s and spool in:

Brake lines bent up for the 14bolt:

TMR trick-tabs to hold the lines down and out of the way:

Caliper brackets painted and mounted....mounted a caliper up just for show!

    That's where I'm at!
Waiting for my steering...got it ordered from West Texas Offroad....they were incredibly helpful on the phone too!
Waiting on my front 60 gears...Ski at CTMotorsports is doing those like he did the 14bolt! Great work!
Going to hopefully get the rear under this thing this set of days off.....fingers crossed!

Thank god for an update... I had given up hope!

    Is this TMR's TJ?

Did you cycle the suspension with the coilovers in before burning the mounts on?

Did your 14B truss link mounts come with the dimple connector pieces?\

    What's the transfercase of choice?

    - Yeah I cycled the front suspension totally with everything tacked in. I had to make a few changes to where the trac bar was mounted but the coilover towers were spot on.
    - If you are referring to the upper link mounts (with the dimpled backing plate) I bought the plates separately but the top mounting tabs did come with the truss.
    - Transfercase is going to be another 231 but I got it for a screaming deal complete with SYE and CV rear shaft.
    - If it was TMRs TJ not only would it be done by now but the welds would be a whole lot better looking....I may start drinking the water up there and see if it helps my welding...something must make Tim such an artist with the MIG.
