    1979 dodge ramcharger 440, 727, 203, dana 44, dana 70, on 40's

Now that there is an end in sight, I figured I would post a build thread. I took this truck, stripped it to the frame, and sourced all new parts from kijiji.

    - 440 with 60,000 kms out of a motorhome. came with a big block 727, that I tore down and swapped output shaft from my old 727 in order to convert the tranny to a 4wd version.
    - dana 44 out of an old chevy 4.10 gearing, 8x6.5 pattern. custom tie rod and drag link made from 1.5" .240 wall DOM with XMR 12 rod ends from TMR customs.
    - Dana 70 out of a Ford E-350 school bus. 4.10 gearing.
    - edlebrock 750cfm carb, headers to flowmaster delta 50's

I have replaced all the systems as you will see from the photos.

My folks had a lifted ramcharger on just 33's when i was just getting my license to drive and it was one of the first vehicles i drove as a kid, so i think i have always had a thing for them. I really like where this build is heading!

Thanks for the positive comments. Still a lot to do with this truck, but i work on it when I can.

Yes I plan on wheeling it... hell, I would wheel my caravan if I thought it would be worthwhile.

I have only a few thousand into this project. Truck was free, probably spent $2000 at summit racing, maybe another $1000 on parts and supplies ( cutting wheels, paint, welding stuff, brake calipers and rotors, interior rubber mat, ect.) $300 for the motor and the tranny, rear axle was $200, front was $250. Tires and wheels were $300... Plus lots of hours invested of course. My plan was to build a bigger than a jeep truck that was convertible like a jeep, and allowed me to go anywhere I would take my old jeep. I think I am following that plan....

I always like watching walk around videos, seeing what everyone else is doing, and since I have had requests, thought I would make one today. I ended up making two..
