    T-case mounting thoughts?

Rebuilt my doubler and t-case and want to clean up the mounting crossmember.

    350sbc - TH350 - advanced adapter -231/d300 doubler

So far I'm using polly oem style motor mounts and a single leaf spring bushing mount on the back of the D300 with a TMR kit and solid crossmember. Should I also use the AA mounting pad with a solid crossmember and spring bushing?

Is a second tranny mount too many capture points and is the 3 bolts on the d300 tail housing enough for a single mount?

I don't think you need more mounts, The cases should let you know via leakage if its stressed. I had a similar setup in my XJ AW4-231-D300 and only used the OE mount and is seemed adequate. I personally didnt care for the D300 tailshaft mount, I had tried one, homemade not TMR and it was a hassle to keep the output housing fasteners tight. On the other hand it might be nice to have options to remove one tranny mount or the other for servicablitiy ie remove D300 without letting down rest of driveline. I am a huge fan of "tight" motor and trans mounts as I like to feel the NVH!

I had a leakage problem and loose bolts when I had the mount on the AA adapter. I had to tighten the adapter to the tranny after every run. Maybe I just need more locktite? And the crossmember got in the way of the front driveshaft and made it to flexible.

send pics . I have a 241c in my rig Im building. I wanted to keep the crossmember away from the f drive shaft. so what I did was hard mount the tc to a piece of 2x2 and welded a polly bushing on the pass side and had a big U bent up to go OVER the front tc flange and then a piece of 2x2 and another polly bushing. This way the drive shaft can drop all it wants without hittin the cross member The U I used is 1/2 thick x3'wide with 7' dia.If i can get a pic to load Ill post it up

    I don't know what's funnier...

That your pics got jacked on the very forum they were originally posted on, or the fact that they are posted as being a tranny and tcase mount when they are actually a flip shifter housing.

You added pictures after I posted my question....

    you may find your answer.

and BTW.... I highly doubt that the upside down "U" was initially your idea.

    T-case mounting thoughts?

He is not trying to start shit.

As for the pics thing...He is trying to say that post number 4 posted by ditchpig is using pics from Jak Flash's Dana300 flip kit build up thread.

I find it amusing that they are posted with no reference of where they came from. Can be mistaken as being ditchpig's pics if you don't know where they are from.

I find it even more amusing that they are passed off as being a trans and tcase mount when they are actually a shifter housing and shifter bushings for a flipped Dana300. Both pics show parts that were 100% fabricated by Jak Flash. He didn't come up with the idea, but he did make the parts.

As for the U. What he is saying is that it has been done before. It works well. I have something similar under mine.

OH FAWK...LOL...now I feel bad for calling out ditchpig...sorry ditchpig...I forgot about the pics going all retarded when the site crashed last year...it is very likely that you had posted other pics and for some reason (we still aren't sure exactly what happened) they got hooped and replaced with other pics...in this case they would have been replaced with the pics seen above (Jak Flash's pics)...

Want some good entertainment with fawked pics...spend a few days browsing Curt's thread...all hardcore building, and a guy in a canoe...LMAO...

Edit your post to eliminate the pics. Then change the name of the file, re-upload, and edit your post to link them in again.

hat is what was found to work for Jak Flash a while back to get his pics back in to his thread.
