Jak, what do you need to get it ready? Come up anyways, you can always TB.

BTW, I'm going to need a trail repair on my Jeep already. Don't have time to fix it ahead of time, so I'll get it done on Friday when I arrive. Front-pass u-joint.

Will be on way up Friday Morning with goodies

Most groups and clubs know there way around the area and trails, but if I can get a couple of trail leaders take a couple of newcomers to show around Saturday that would be great
I will be leading the stockers and newcomers along Bell Lake for the day. Perhaps a mud pit or two & cliff hang for the more adventurous jeepers lol

See you all up there for the festivities

If any built Jeeps or buggies that are new to the area want to come and play there will be a group of us heading out Sat am. Starting bright and early but the start of the day may get pushed back a bit depending on the severity of the brown bottle flu.

P.s. Saturday is looking wet, pack accordingly.

Not to screw up your plans Chris, but if anyone is planning on coming out to compete, or not sure about competing in the King of the Shield Rock Rally o. June 23, I am running a pre-run on Saturday June 9, at the Camp for the Deaf. A $20 donation is asked for the chance to run this new course.

For more information on the competition, please visit www.kingoftheshield.com

No worries, I know there are a bunch of guys that can't, won't, don't want to add a pile of stuff just for a once a year competition.

And that is why it's hard to start up something new when people think that. A rally is much easier to put on then a rock crawl, far less volunteers needed. If the event is successful I could run multiple events all season in different locations. But if you get a bad showing, it's hard to get support from sponsors, competitors and volunteers.

IMHO even if there were 5 rock rally events a year I only have one vehicle and a budget. I won't be getting all the safety equipment on my wheeler just to run 5 events and then break my junk and never use it again and still not be that competetive.

ROI doesn't deem it an intelligent investment in $2000+ of stuff I MAY use 5 times a year. IF I didn't have to invest big money just to meet the rules to enter I would ponder the thought. I would still have to have a fat roll for the competition damage. Just not that smart of a way for the average Joe that just wants to wheel to spend his $$$.
