    The comp cut Rubi

I figured since my build is now full swing it was time I started one of these! lol

The past couple seasons I been wheeling my 05 Rubicon with a Rubicon Express 3.5 sort arm kit and 33" MTR's. The start of last season I regeared the stock axles to 4.88s and chromo shafts. Both stock lockers were shot, I could only afford to replace the front with an E-locker and left the rear in so it was still limited slip. Surprisingly the 36s fit in the rear with the 3.5" lift with no flares and only minor rubbing at full flex, up front was a different story lol. In the front I started by just modifying my stock fenders to fit the 36s but it looked like poo so I picked up a set of Metalcloak arched front fenders with the 6" flares.

Even though I only got out 3 times last season due to breaking my foot getting out of a certain green beast of a jeep, the super flex joints in my lower control arms where done for! So I decided instead of wasting money rebuilding them or buying some of the shelf long arm kit it was time to do things right!!!

So what I'm doing is comp cut to the body and frame, relocate the gas tank, build my own 4 link with johnny's, new skid plate for t-case, trans and oil pan and if time permits 3 link/ long arm the front! Stealing all my ideas from 1 ton builds but sticking with my D44's and 36s lol 1 tons in a year or 2 lol

Now I'll go through my pics and post up of my progress so far, found one of last season on the 3.5" with the 36s and Metalcloak front fenders

A used but working stock Rubicon locker! but thinking I'm going to sell it and just go with a Detroit locker to save the hassle of running new lines for the stock locker

Ok so sweet got a snow day!!! Time for some progress!!! Finish up prepping the floor/ gas tank skid to be welded in. Then find a pice of scrap and teach myself to weld again before welding the skid to my floor! lol
