Its a jk axle. I'm sticking with 35s for now, once I build some hi line fenders then and the 35s start to get bald I'll be looking at 37s as a possible replacement... we will see

Nick, he's got a maroon jk rubi on 43s he decided the pro rock 44 wasn't enough for a supercharged 3.8 on 43s given that he plans to go with a Corvette v8 of some kind next year swapped out the front for a pro rock 60 to match his rear axle. In fact chad you should get to know him... I'm thinking you of all people will be wanting to buy that blower when he goes v8

So picked up the rear... week before last and just keep forgetting to post anything as I'm still in insurance limbo. I should know soon though.

I'm quite impressed with what this thing does just the way it sits though. I have to pick really good lines but I think wheeling it stockish is making me a better driver. Got up the bottom part of YouTube where the offshoot rejoins the main trail, in ardbeg (didn't try the top, I'll leave that for the big boys). Did a few other hard bits the shovel turns out to self clearance quite nicely (I don't see a for sale thread in its future). The only use the winch got all weekend was for flipping the Lads on its side. Should have a few pics soon but they are all sitting on the camera.

Had a great time at Trailfest and NL this year, finally swapped out that passenger U joint at Trailfest as a preemptive measure... it was clicking quite badly on the trail. used my new ARB compressor to reseat a bead on the trail at NL man that thing works great.

Mods for today: JKS 1.25" body lift and 1" motor mount lift. Went in with only a bit of searing thanks for the hand Bierchef couldn't have done it alone. Pictures of the results after I've slept. So far I like it, looks good but the real reason for it is so I can get the belly up skid going.

I've been lazy. I need to take pics with the fenders / corners on. The metal cloaks look slick, and no fitment issues.

I'm on call this week but almost all the parts are now sitting at Ski's shop to be installed next week. Should be fun.

If so, I have seen that on mine twice now...
So when I pulled the rear drive shaft for the new axle install I figured I'd be a nice guy and take the lower Ujoint out all nice for the guy buying my axle to keep as a trail spare... found a seal had gone and even though there was no play one cap had all it's grease replaced with mud... DOH. oh well so much for being a nice guy.

There's lots more progress and crappy cell phone pics to come, the rear axle and suspension is finish welded and ready to go back in after paint on Monday. The front end is all tacked in place minus the track bar, that should be done Monday as well then she will be on her own 4 wheels again to measure for shocks and drive shafts. TMR tummy tuck cross member is in so I just need to bring it up to TMR and confirm a 2" drop pate will fit once she drives again. Ski is making good progress and the work looks top notch. Thanks again to CT Motorsports for putting this all together for me.

OK so I got Lazy/busy but mostly lazy and stopped posting pics... however Ski is putting things up on the CT Motorsports facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/CT-Mot...34320986618297

I figure if I post all the pics here before he's done posting them there none of you slackers will go and surf/like his page... so until he's done I won't be updating this thread.

Ok fine a couple more teaser pics since they are on my phone

Eastwood Internal frame paint. My frame has 0 rust. I'd like to keep it that way.

    Swaybar went from this

    To this

Now that is some choice steering geometry. Track bar and drag link are identical length.

And the over spray on the rcv boot... That's all me. I think I need more spray bomb practice... Or patients, but hey that rubber boot won't be rusting any time soon that's for sure.

Cool. How is the clearance from the swaybar to the trackbar bracket? pic?

I am considering using the same trackbar bracket for my build this winter, but was sure that my anti-rock would not fit.

I had to get the sway bar arm bent out to clear it, TMR hooked me up as they have a 20ton press and the die for it. In your case though you can buy a bent arm from Curry to and that should give you plenty of room. I'll get a shot from the top for ya later today.

Ok thanks. I figured it would be tight. My trackbar bracket will likely be pushed forward to about where your steering box is, so likely not possible to bend it around.

    Keep the progress updates coming.

    Looking good!

How is the front sway bar held in? Was the crossmember sleeved with a different pipe?

nice trick air cylinder sway bar disco....I couldnt afford the air cyl version. Being connected (trail setting) and still full flex makes a HUGE difference.
