Re: Project once more with Feeling

Thanks guys, impact there are a pair of bushings in the ends of the cross member (I think they are polly) DM I decided to spend the extra on the air one so when I want to bomb along the flat sections of trail, or even between trails I still get to have a sway bar. They are working on a rear kit as well soon so I'm holding out for that one rather then an anti rock. So far I haven't unlocked it as I don't yet have air but I like the way it handles the road so far.

I can bomb around nicely on flat sections in Trail Mode no probs. And you are right, Road Mode it handles better than OEM as far as I'm concerned.

PM me where/when you get a SwayLoc for the rear, I'll be looking for one for my rig this year too.

Being connected on the trail makes a HUGE difference

They are called the swayloc and are made by off road only. Ski from CT Motorsports is a dealer for them. Not too hard to install however if you have the stock front bumper you need to cut the ends off.

Keep in mind if you are seeing bad reviews of stripped splines they have redesigned it to solve the issue.

Lol guess I'm due for an update... Still no time to sit down with a computer and the pictures. However it now has shiny new drive shafts and drives like a dream... On a side note my paint has mostly converted to rust over the winter. I blame my complete lack of prep and any primer.

Here's a pic to tide you over

So I've been slack on the updates lately... progress was made, fun was had, parts were broken, and fixed again... followed by more fun.

couldn't resist some fun on an extra large snow bank.

Realized my shaky ride want due to out of balance tires but bent rear shafts instead (i think Nick said he ran 40s on this axle so i'm not shocked.)

my jeeps not in it but it's still a cool shot from the Just Jeeps open house... My jeep was being used to hold down the BBQ tent at the time after Tony packed up.

Install day for the rear anti-rock (apparently I forgot to take any pics) I decided I couldn't afford and didn't really need a rear swayloc. I've been driving with no rear sway bar for this long and the 4 link works quite well to keep things in check, I really wanted it for off road as the body kept leaning way over following the front end. I got almost no flex out of the front suspension as the two ends were not working together. Now I feel confident off road rather then feeling like I'm going to roll all the time.
We set duggit up in the shade to fix his trac bar bracket.

worst part is when I was packing the truck for the weekend I looked at the box with my spare unit barring and decided NOT to load it in.

noticed a pinion leak before Thursday trailfest and made an appointment to have the seal replaced (just didn't have time to do it myself.) Once the drive shaft was dropped JJ's told me there was huge play in the pinion so I scrambled to get a barring kit from Rockspyder and find a shop with time to install it... when the caps were pulled the diff just fell out (no prying, no pulling, it had to be caught...) so he replaced all the barrings, used the same shims and charged me $450 then said "no warranty" the thing sounded like a had a buzz-saw under my truck. Ended up having JJ's replace the gear set (the old one was pitted and rusty, turns out it had been stored with no oil before I got it... for the price I paid I'm still ahead... just...)

This guy was on the trail when we went by on a prerun for NL, thought he was cool you normally can't get this close to a harron.
