Cool Jeep Painting for the BAJA 2012 Charity Show "n" Shine

The 2012 BAJA Charity Show "n" Shine is coming up on Saturday May 12th. I run Custom Painting Studio with the help of my talented husband Jeff. He will be donating an Original Acrylic Painting on Canvas to the show.

The good folks at BAJA have yet to decide whether the painting will be auctioned off or raffled off, but either way, some lucky person is going walk away with a cool original Jeep Painting, and many will walk away with the great feeling that goes with helping a worthy cause.

Jeff has a lot of ideas for this painting, so I thought that I would create a thread where I could post some of his ideas and see what some Jeep people think. (Thanks to BBD for approving this thread) The size of the original painting will vary depending on which Jeep Jeff creates the painting from. You can see Jeff's painting style by visiting our website Custom Painting Studio.

So, If you could have an Amazing Jeep Painting what would it be? These are just some of Jeff's rough ideas. Jeff can paint any Jeep with any kind of background. Would you rather have a painting of an old Willy's, a classic CJ, a new JK, or a built rock-crawling rig? How about the background? An cool action shot, or a serene forest scene?

When Jeff starts on a new painting, we usually blog about the process and include a lot of pictures. We will do the same with the Jeep Painting, when Jeff starts the painting I will let people know by posting in this thread, just in case anyone is interested in following along.

How about putting some of your work already done on display, and let the winner choose the Jeep of their liking(ie:their own Jeep maybe) to be painted

That is a great idea! The winner would get a commissioned original painting of their Jeep or their favourite Jeep with whatever background they like. A typical 12 x 24 painting takes about 1 month to complete.
I should check with Jim from BAJA to be sure that they are OK with this, but I would imagine that it would be fine and the money would still go to charity.
I will let everyone know what BAJA thinks, but in the meantime does everyone else like this idea?

BAJA is totally ok with that Idea. Good thinking Rob. Also we have decided that a separate Raffle would be the best for this prize. Not an Auction. We can't wait to see these paintings in person. I may be ordering one of my jeep on the day of the show. Gives me time to pick the picture, and convince the wife that we "NEED" a painting of my jeep in the living room. LOL.

A Jeep on its lid is a cool idea too!

Thanks for all the positive responses! It looks like we have a great plan now for the BAJA show. Thanks to Rob for the suggestion!

Jeff's paintings look great on his website, but when you actually see them in person, they are truly amazing! We were at the Ancaster Swap Meet this past Sunday and we brought Jeff's latest unfinished painting with us. The response was phenomenal! People were stopping in their tracks, and requesting that we take their email addresses to let them know when it was done.

Just thought I would post a update on the "Jeep" painting. Congrats again to Brian, the lucky winner of the raffle. Brian sure is great to work with! The painting is coming together nicely and is is gathering quite the following.

This is a picture that Brian has not even seen yet. I have been making regular posts on our blog showing the progression of the painting.
