404 unimog axles on jeep yj build

Does anyone have any info on doing a 89 jeep yj with unimog 404 axles? Or should i just trade for a set of Rockwells? What I have so far are the !989 Jeep yj, 350 4 bolt out of a 70s truck 205 transfer case-dana 300 doubler. Its not lots but its a good start. All the big stuff is here, I do wanna try keep it street legal or atleast look it. So any info will help. Thanks guys

If you plan on keeping it street legal you will need some large tires 40++"
Or your engine will be redlining before you hit the highway.

I know someone who has 404 portals for $2400.
I also know someone with built rockwells for $3500

You could get a Dana 60/14 bolt for less than that and get streetable gearing.

Mog axles suck under yjs but great under other things. Save yourself the hassle and pm me your address and i'll be there tomorrow to take the menacing load off of your shoulders.

Also a doubler and mog axles would give one HUGE crawl ratio.

Im sure that you would come take them off my hands, there is a set if your looking in the gatineau quebec area for 2100 has everything but the body, thanks for the advice. it was on kijji

A spring under leaf sprung yj would be pretty cool on mog axles and have huge clearance and good stability on angles. Unless your building something the size of an monster truck, I think rockwells are pretty big and clunky for a yj size rig.
