Matador just went through a growth a spurt!

Finally made the move from 33's up to 35's!

Got rid of 33's on Stock 18's and now running 35" Goodyear MTR's w/Kevlar mounted on Pro Comps also got rid of the soft top and running a Trektop NX......next mods are new gears and rear bumper!

I love the trektop but it would look rediculous with the wife's new roof rack. Where did you get the top from?

Did you stick with 18's or bump down to a 17" rim with the new tires?

Only running 3.5" of lift? Stock control arms?

Thanks! I got the top from Just Jeeps......went down to a 17" wheel....the rubber is just too damn expensive on those 18's...plus I would rather have more rubber between my wheels and the rocks Yep, it's a 3.5" lift but the flat fenders give me a lot more clearance....my lift kit came with new lower control arms. It's a Rough Country 3.5" lift....lifetime warranty ....and they stand behind their product....i know from first hand experience!

I sold my old top...I like this one a lot better

4.75 backspacing on these wheels and no rubbing ...but I don't have stock control arms...my lift came with new ones.

ive got a cpl modded mall crawlers. if i didnt waste money on those, it would be something else...lol.

How bad is it with the 35's and stock gears?
I'm in the same boat, presently have 33's, thinking of stepping up to 35's but won't be able to do gears right away.

I have the Superchips tuner that I had when i was running my 33" Duratrac's. I have the 3.73 gears so on the highway...it's constantly shifting in and out of OD. I have basically resorted to shutting OD off. Even in the city I find myself doing it. My next mod is gears, and sleeves and gussets for my Dana 30....just trying to decide if I should go 4.88 or 5.13. 35"s are somewhat manageable but I dont want to do it for long....my gas mileage has gotten worse...but i was expecting that to happen. I am going to try downloading the Superchips Tranny extra and tweak my shift points to see if that helps.
