14 year old boy and a Jeep!!!

Hey guys, well here it is, I am 14 and bought myself a jeep a few months ago just after my birthday. well I have since taken it down to bear bones. I have been thinking the last few days about maybe selling off all the part but tub since its in really bad shape and getting the money from thoes parts to buy myself a better running jeep to enjoy this summer at my friends farm and for my dad since he sold his cadillac for me that he loved and said he would never part with so he told me that he would love to try out the jeep once I finish building mine or get a running one. Any input would be really helpfull guys!
    Thanks!!

Howdy, there is a clean California tub for sale on here right now. Depending on your budget that may be the best way to go but check to see if the frame is good first. Look around the shackle mounts and steering box.

Welcome to Jeep Kings. Do you have any pictures or information on the Jeep? It is hard to give any input without knowing what you have :P.

hey mat glad to see you signed up on JK. i will come over on saturday and see what your working with and chrisbuilt post#2 is also taling about blenheim boy the one i told you had the frame ,well now he has a mint tub as well .if what parts you have on your jeep now are still in good shape it would be better to move them over to a clean rust free tub and chassis .and it will last you a lot longer and be finished alot sooner. you'll be happier with it in the end ..

Hey man! I am out this weekend at a family's cottage, would you be able to come by sometime during the week or next weekend? and yea actualy I had the blenheim boy reply to one of my kijiji wanted adds and ya he told me he has a yj frame and tub for sale. But since I have been thinking like I said about selling some of the parts I have and buying a different yj that is drivable. Not sure yet tho, mostly just because I want to give the garage back to my dad. Click image for larger version.

i had a chance to go see it today, the frame and tub are to far gone to fix .axles, trans, springs, doors, top, bumpers, motor, and interior look good ! he's going to buy a rust free frame. i've got fenders and a few other parts for him .but he will need a better tub the floors and rockers are gone . he would like to and can buy a frame off blenheimboy but the tub is out of range right now. if anyone has one in better shape then the one he has let him know ..or myself and price .

    Welcome to Jeeping, and Jeepkings!

You've got a lot of work ahead, but it'll be worth it. The Jeep you wind up with will be totally yours, and you can take pride in it every time you hit the key and go.

Starting with a solid, rust-free frame as a foundation is all kinds of good. Sooooo much better to have this vital element in your Jeep be rock solid to start with, rather than cut & weld your old frame.

I hope it's a fun experience for you, and that you have fun with it.

If I was a Jeep, they'd have parted me out a LONG time ago.

I'm a proud member of SOXJA ask me why!

A frame swap seems extreme for a Jeep that is only going to be a bush buggy...
