AWESOME DAY TODAY...Lots of sun, lots of SUNBURN!!! Crazy hot!

Very cool to have a wide variety of vehicles...from classic Chryslers of the '50s, Mopar Muscle of the '70s, some Desotos, Dodge Trucks, and even a few AMCs, everything from the '50s right up to brand new...and of course, about a dozen Jeeps...not a bad turn out considering this was the first year for Jeeps at a show that has traditionally been classic and muscle cars only.

The Jeeps had their own little area to play...there were an RTI ramp, Teeter Totter, Car Crush, and a little "offroad" course to take your kids for that "wheeling experience". It wasn't just the locals that were representing the Jeep crowd, some Jeepers drove over two hours to be there.

Some other events, an engine blow (basically run the car at full throttle until it shits the bed) where you could bet on when the engine would die, and a burn out competition that had everything from a stock diesel Ram to a Twin Turbo Valiant - what a thing to see and hear - an old Valiant with blow off valves releasing with every blip of the throttle!!!

There was a small vendors row where you could purchase various MOPAR items like die cast collectibles, shirts, hats, etc.

One of the coolest things of the day was when a VERY large crowd from the muscle and classic side of the show gathered across the end of the Jeep area to watch the RTI ramp, Teeter Totter, and Car Crush...they were 3 and 4 deep along a stretch of parking lot that was probably over 200 feet long, they even got involved during the Teeter Totter when Jeeps were trying to balance it out, expressing their excitement when the Jeep came close to balancing out, sympathizing with the driver when it went past level and slapped back down, then eventually cheering when a few of the guys got it to balance out, and the reaction to the car crush was awesome to say the least.

Congrats to Dan (some of you will know him from Howes and Reeves in Fergus) and his J20 for winning Best Jeep of Show ( even though he parked amongst the muscle cars LOL), Brian (our very own cowboys666) for winning the RTI ramp, and (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) a local guy who won the Teeter Totter in a 4 door JK (I think the wheelbase gave him an advantage ).

Many thank yous to the staff at Hanover Chrysler Dodge Jeep for putting on an awesome show that ran without a hitch, and a special thanks to Andrew (Foxmotorsport) for putting forth the effort to have Jeeps included in the show. This is truly an ALL BREEDS MOPAR SHOW now that the Jeeps are showing a presence.

I am looking forward to next year, hopefully the Jeep part of the show will be even bigger and from what I hear Hanover Chrysler Dodge Jeep will have an all new facility.

Final tally still coming in, but it would appear we raised over $1500 for the Lions Club!
