    Confessions of a Mall Crawler

An open letter from a newbie:

I know you see me in my Saraha and think soccer mom, but I wish you wouldn’t judge a book by its stock JK

    - I hate shopping and would never consider myself a mall crawler. You’ll never find me at any of the “big” malls. If you can’t get it at Shoppers World, Home Depot or online, you don’t need it.
    - My girls have never played soccer. Baseball, riding, gymnastics, music theatre, wrestling and rugby, yes. Just sayin’
    - I love my Jeep, I haven’t had this much fun since my first car – a ’73 Chev Nova that took me on many adventures. I was so tired of driving family friendly sedans and vans. I wanted (needed?) something more interesting to drive, and missed driving manual.
    - This is my everyday vehicle, so it’s going to be mostly stock. I need to get into downtown underground garages, take clients out, and move around teenagers, dogs and horse stuff.
    - My weekend, off-road toy has 4 legs and is fuelled on hay.
    - Realistically speaking, after work and home commitments, my off-roading opportunities are going to be limited to going to the barn 3 or 4 times a week, and some minor off road trails at the farm. Of course, I take as many back-roads and hit as many pot-holes and puddles as possible along the way … because I can.
    - My Jeep and my horse are probably the two nicest (and most fun) things I’ve ever done for myself.
    - I know that “chrome won’t get you home” but I’m excited to be waiting on some shiny new bumpers, grill and accents that will make my plain black ride a little more sexy.
    - I see the Brampton group hanging out at Shoppers World on Tuesday nights and want to come over, check out your vehicles and hear your stories, but you guys intimidate the hell out of me – not because of your big tires and awesome knowledge, but just knowing that you look over and see a Mall-Crawlin’-Soccer-Mom
    - I will always give and return the Jeep wave

    Cheers!

The Brampton folks, and most on here, don't bite

I say be proud and build it how YOU want it to be.

I'm a proud mall crawler and don't care what others think because at the end of the day it's MY jeep and I built it.

Welcome to the forum and the Jeep community

It can be intimidating meeting up with groups for the first time but definitely check it out. For the most part people don't care how you decide to do up your own Jeep.

It's all Jeep love in end

    Welcome to the insanity...
Most of the Jeeps at Shoppers were all stock a yr or two ago. There are some stock friendly trails that you could take the kids out and enjoy a day.

Thanks for the kind welcome, all. Will stop in and visit the Brampton bunch soon I think.

Nice day out there, have the soft top down and ready to head out of the city to do a little off-roading on my 4 legged beastie.

    Welcome to jeepkings
Your horse is beautiful! Living here in the middle of horse country is making me miss the 4-legged off-roaders!
I don't have an attitude problem, you're just an asshole!!
