Project "Try Again"..... My 2nd Try @ a Jeep.

You're doing it right! What's it like having a separate frame?

Picked up a winch for bit today.
Painting the frame tonight. Determine a way to integrate my boatsides into the rest of the body so that the floor is sealed and no mud traps.

Hard to project a completion date (not that it will ever be complete!) but I'm hoping it can move under its own power by the end of may. Doubtful though!

Painted the frame. Harbour Freight paint gun ftw!!! I have a decent body gun and it cannot blow tremclad for the life of it no matter how I mix it and the same needle. I din give two shits how I mixed this cheap rust paint and it layer on Smooth and drip less with no thought!!! I may go back and get 3-4 more $9.99 paint guns for different color because it works so good for ten bucks!
    Frame and messy shop!

I can't tell if I'm slacking to much while in the shop too much, drinkin' to much, doing to many little things, or just planning too much. But it's getting warm enough to slowly dry paint so it's time to get crackin'.

If you're anything like me it's thinking too much... my most productive nights in the garage are the ones when i don't think, but do. Keep the pics coming Josh!

Well I determined what to do with my rockers but instead of plasma or saw cutting them tonight I'll bring them to my friend and shear the extra I had bent into them off.

It's taken a bit of a back burner. My shop is in such disarray and the door has been broken since November. I can even roll axles in and out with three guys to help open and close it. I just put a new one up which cost me the trans in my truck so I bought a TJ that needed way more work to safety then expected.
With A new door and a jeep to bomb around in I'm going to focus on organizing my shop, hang the steel on the walls I've had for 3 years, build my used oil furnace plumb hard line air, more recepticals, higher amp line for my TIG welder and hopefully be back at the YJ come mid September.

For sure Curt, and stay alive. I haven't wheeled in so long I'm going to need a refresher course from the king of the skinny pedal.

My build just a little whiny! Ditching the dinosaur '70s 350. Was looking for a 5.3 or a 6.0 but decided to do things a little different. L67 SC/700r4/np231-241/d300. Might not be as powerful as a 5.3 but different, and true fully I'm a forced induction guy and SCs sound cool. And even before scrapping what I don't need or parting out the car I still have significant cash left over from the 350 sale and buying this whole car.

No pics but you have to love new motivation. Less then 4hrs of work and all I have to do is pull 4 bolts on the 2 motor mounts and the whole engine, wiring etc. will be out! Going Tuesday to pick up a 700r4/np231 for free from a 90 blazer from my bro-in-law and the adapter is in the mail from Speedway motors.
