I figure from my research that some small intake mods, a 3.4" pulley, headers, 3" exhaust and some pcm tweaking will be good for an easy 290ish HP and way better torque that comes real early due to the smaller pulley making the SC work real fast. I know a v8 does that stock, but I love an underdog and that is just touching the tip of the iceberg.
I also have a new wet n2o kit sitting on the shelf for one of my Hondas that will be there for another few year so why not.

I just really need to get moving.

Well motor is pulled. Trans and exhaust is off. Toss it in a stand tomorrow so I can get it to my shop so I can undo and label the harness. Then it's to cleaning the motor and modding the harness as I wait for the adaptor.

Project "Try Again"..... My 2nd Try @ a Jeep.

    $hit yeah homie!!

    Think of the fuel savings

That is a bad ass setup dude, go stand alone engine management too if you wanted and you could have multiple engine tunes, one for the trails, one for the rocks, one for the random weekend cruises... I like it!!

I'll race you to completion. May 24 weekend 2014.

Side note.. What are the seats like in that grand? .. I recently learned they will bolt right up to YJ seat mounts, check it out.

I'm trying to justify HP Tuner VCM Suite but right now I can't. Would nice!

Seats are actually in good shape. Passenger is dusty, drivers has only weather wear on outside edge. Heated black leather.

Let the wiring fun begin!!! Nice part is the L67 is basically a standalone motor harness with other crap twisted in. So I renewed , AlldataDIY membership and sat down and started stripping seeing as there is now instructions.
    1/2 way through.

motor is getting cleaned, and I have a big chunk of aluminum for my doubler sitting in the car to be drilled and cut.

I didn't mind it. I tossed on old episodes of How I Met Your Mother seeing as our dish is out, mixed a drink and went to town with multiple tabs open on All data. I'm just afraid I'll hack out something I really need, but why should I need the trans wiring with the 700r4, the abs wiring and A/C. Reminds me of my Honda days making swap harnesses and jumper plugs for for quick plug and play tuning.
I just need to pull the pins on the PCM plugs after verifying I don't need them against the pin outs and then re-wrap and loom it.

And thanks a bunch for the files and input.

BTW Anyone have HP Tuner VCM Suite? Or anyone that would benefit from me having it?

Not really. Just cleaning the motor as the lived on a gravel road and was oil coated. Also getting ready to put the body back on the frame so I can set the motor and Trans where I like. Got my headers. I'm dying to work on it but time is scarce.

I was going to update the other day but realized the pics are on my camera and not my phone. I'll add pics tonight.

Motor is in and mounts welded. Just need gussets. I was able to reuse the frame mounts and my trans cross member.
My np231/d300 is done. I just need to do the shaft. I gained about 9-10" in rear drive shaft length going to a 700r4/np231/d300 setup over my previous trans and cases. And I made the adaptor myself with nothing more then a drill press, printer and skill saw.
Body is back on so I can rebuild the floor and finish the body mounts.

I've decided to save for HP Tuner VCM Suite to do the flashing and tuning myself which will also pay off if my new DD is a Chevy.

I feel really behind but hopefully when my wife goes back to work in December I'll get more nights in the shop.
