    BIG JUN H1 Build.

After many peoples interest and questions about my rig I decided to finally make a build thread on it. Although it will more than likely be slow going, I will try my best to keep everyone posted on updates. So without Delay here it is.

    The Machine:
    1998 AM General Hummer HMCO(Opentop)
    6.5L Turbo Diesel Engine
    4L80E 4spd Transmission
    Independent Suspension
    Torsen I diffs(BTM Capable)
    37" Tires
    12,000lbs Warn Winch

What it was when I bought it in May of 2006:
Heavy Duty D-Ring Style Stinger Brush Guard
    2 Huge Air Horns
    Momo Steering Wheel
    New Paint Job
    Everything else was basically stock

    Keepn' the Rubber Side down.

'06 TJ | 2 headlights | broken cheap ass fogs | 30 lbs of mud in frame | undersized spare | dented fender | dented rear quarter | Stainless washers on license plate | softdoors with broken handles | Three black box thingies that look expensive | rusty hitch | lots more payments

    Modifications To Date:

Replaced the Headlights with SilverStarr ones.
Replaced Smaller Marker Lights with LED ones.
Added some custom trail pinstripping to new paint.
Replaced the line out on my CTIS with a M Type connector and got the hose and various fittings for it.
Added SMA style Hood Snubbers(To keep the noise down from the hood)

Bough a "CalGold" Slantback kit for my Opentop it is now a Slantback Hardtop during the winter months and a opentop during the summer months.

Also gives me more weatherproof lockable storage space

    Custom Insulated Headliner

Only downside is that my rear view mirrior is only good for checking the weather now

    Added 2" Suspension lift
Coils up front and spacers in the rear. I will now be able to fit 40" tires.

Also got a good deal on some 38" Dick Cepek Kevlars which I will be mounting on my rig this spring

Mods that I have planned for it:
39.5" Iroks(For Daily Driving and Small Offroading Ventures)
39.5x18x16.5 Boggers(Strictly For Wheelin) Mounted on custom double beadlock rims that are 12" wide and Rock Rims.
    High Idle(1150,1300, and 1600 settings)
Center the front diff so only have 1 length of halfshaft instead of current 3.
    Replace halfshafts/hubs from 10,500lbs to 12,100lbs
Lockers... Not sure what flavour yet but its currently between Auburn and Arb... Was thinking Detroit in the rear but since its my DD and I do drive it in the winter I am opting not too...
    New Warn Winch 12,000lbs
    Snorkle
    Deep Fording HMMW Pipe
    PCM Upgrade
    Turbo Wastegate Upgrade
    High Flow Fuel Pump
    PMD Replacement Kit
    HID Lights
Tire Carrier Capable of 44" Tires and Fuel Can Carrier
    Lockable Rolling Bed Cover
    Better Rocker Panel Protection
    LED Taillights and Turn Signals
Rearview Camera Mounted ontop of Tire Carrier
    Military "WHIP" setup for CB.
Upgrade Fuel Lines/Seals with BioDiesel Friendly Material
    Rock Ram
    Frame Reinforcement at Steering Gear

Now for the No Time Soon list.
6BT Cummins Conversion(Not sure what flavor yet... Thinking Commin Rail 24v)
    Atlas 4spd T-Case
    6sp Transmission
2-4" Body lift(depending on what flavor of Cummins I go with)
42-44" tires(also depends on body lift)

Yes yes I know big list but who doesnt have a big list?

It can handle upto 40's with the current 2.56:1 Gear Ratio but if I plan on going bigger(which I do) it will require the 3.08:1 Gear Ratio which I will do when I install lockers. Funny thing is with Diesels they like low RPM and bigger tires you can get low RPM with higher speeds so I dont loose any MPG by going bigger.

H1's dont need badges... They are only there to let people know it is trail rated... and if you need them to let people know then obviously your rig isnt big enough :P

Gotta love the Hummer and Jeeper love but hey i am now a jeep owner!!! got a chopped ZJ in my driveway right now
