Anything can be done. Have a look at my (de)Renegade rebuild thread, in sig.

It may be worth finding a new tub. It was for me. Even thou this tub isn't close to perfect, it's wayyy faster, cheaper and easier to save a few bucks and buy a half decent tub and fix it instead.

that IMO is a prime opportunity to boat side the tub and cut out all of the rust. but if the tub looks real bad be prepared to be replacing body mounts etc.

    good luck with the build.

^ if you ever start playing on the rocks you will tear off any of the skirting easily. I would recommend that you remove the renegade package and sell it to recoup some of the costs.

as for boat sides there are several ways to do them. Have a look at my thread you will see my version of how to build a YJ, including boatsides. Its nice to see another YJ reserrected. Again good luck on the build I will watch to see how you choose to build it.

    EDIT:
also, the interweb box is a great tool. research, research, research. It will give you ideas and advice on what to and what not to do.

Well back at it again tonight for a bit ..... The only bad part of this new frame were the rear shock mounts so i cut them out and welded the ones from the other frame i had

Then it was off with the rear track bar bracket

I hope to get the other side shock mount done tomorrow on my day off

The build is back on hold till the spring as i have just moved to the other side of the province (3 hours west of thunderbay) so i don't have the jeep here till the spring. On the bright side i will have a full welding shop and hoist to build the rest of the build
