    Cargo Hitch receiver basket?

I am going on a wheeling and camping weekend (expedition style) so I need to bring my stuff with me every day. I am bring my wife and 2 kids with me so I am going to be a little tight for space. I have been thinking about getting one of these hitch baskets but I am concerned that I will be dragging it over obstacles.

I saw one a basket that has an 8" rise on it...so it sits a lot higher but they want $350 for it.

Do you know of any other hitch baskets that sit higher so it will give me the clearance i need? Or is there a place where I can buy an adapter so that if I buy a basket that sits level I can make it sit higher?

I cant use the ones that secure to the spare tire as my tailgate is already under enough stress wtih the 35" wheel.

This is the one that I am referring to

2" square tubing and a welder gets you an adapter to raise one up on the trail. BillyToronto has had his out on the trail lots of times with no problem that I'm aware of. Pm him and ask what brand he got.

I bought the one from princess auto when they were on sale for $70. They didn't have the advertised one (straight bar) so they price match the one you pictured (raised bar) Lots of clearance, can't see it interfering out wheeling.
Regular price is $100, best investment I've made yet!
I don't have an attitude problem, you're just an asshole!!
