A reminder for those utilizing this forum

For the first time since I started this forum, I have actually had to delete a thread. I hate to even have to delete posts, trust me. I did not make this decision lightly.

I truly enjoy helping the members of JeepKings with questions about our laws. Most of the questions asked, have been great! Some have made me really have to dig and research, reach out to friends and colleagues for answers, and spend my own time replying (which I don't mind doing - I'm learning new stuff all the time). Again, I do it because it's a great opportunity for you all to be able to ask questions in a "safe" environment.

What I don't like, is having to remind people the rules of the forum. The vast majority on here have been extremely supportive, and you all are the reason I enjoy doing it. A very small minority have made it an opportunity to give their opinions and/or ask for my opinions of Police and their day-to-day actions as they go about their duties. I am not going to respond to any more of those types of questions. It has been made clear many times, that I will not comment on the functions/actions of ANY OTHER POLICE OFFICER, so please don't ask me to do it.

Thanks for taking the time to use this forum, and I look forward to your future questions. Please don't give my superiors a reason to pull the pin on this great opportunity!

    Cheers!

    A) Big thanks for doing what you're doing. It's above and beyond the personal time most people would volunteer for others. So again, thank you.
    B) No matter how many times you remind people, some people are going to be just too stunned to get it. I hope you keep doing what you're doing for those of us that appreciate it though.
    Cheers.

To be fair to the people putting in their opinions. When accessing from Tapatalk I sometimes miss the fact that it's a save thread as it just shows up in the lost of most recent posts... Then again the part about people asking about the behaviour of a specific officer in a public forum and hoping for input from another officer... Duh that ones never going to fly. If you ask me in a public forum about the behaviour of one of my coworkers I sure wouldn't be commenting.

Thanks again for taking your personal time for our benefit.

That's what I have encountered. When viewing new posts in tapatalk, it isn't readily apparent what forum it is in. I just read the title and if it is something I want to reply to, I just reply. It's not until I have replied that I see what forum it is in. Oops.

    Sure it is.

When scrolling through new posts they are actually separated by header bars.

    No excuses.

As to the taptalk thing, no excuse, there is a header bar above it and separates the posts.

Please know what you are doing before you do it.... hmmm

I would just like to leave a friendly reminder to those wishing to use this forum: Please give me a chance to answer your questions. I write this forum, and do all the research on my own time. If it takes me a little while to respond, trust me I haven't forgotten about this.......it simply means I am busy.

Sometimes I will sign in to see if there are questions, but not have the time to answer them properly. Again, please bear with me if it takes a little while.

    Thanks for the understanding,

    Your friendly neighbourhood SAVE Officer
