    Installing a sub.

Not sure if there is a thread for this already but......

I have a 2011 JK and want to add the 2007-2010 stock Infinity subwoofer. Has anyone added this to their JK. Is it a complicated install? Does the sub even work with the stock head unit?

I think you need the amp that goes with it as well. I am not sure what years interchange. They use a can-bus system and it's very picky on what you can do to it.
There are some dedicated jk forums that should have all that info.
My only problem is i have forgotten more things than I have learned

What did you find out? If they all use the same wiring harness; there should be a pigtail somewhere around the rear passenger-side tub. If it's there; then whether or not it's hooked up to anything is the big question.

If not connected, or no existing wiring; you could take a line-level signal off the soundbar speakers; into a new amp/sub in the back.

After living with the stock sub for 2+ years, I'd suggest going this route instead of trying to get a stock sub to work.
