I told BelAir Direct that I have larger tires and a lift for off-road purposes, and they said they wouldn't insure me for the same reasons (they don't cover off-road use). I told them I was never looking for off-road insurance (they just assumed) and then specifically told them that I have separate insurance for the trails (to which they were VERY surprised) and I'm looking for on-road insurance only... they still wouldn't insure me.

They do their spam call from time to time, I just hang up on them... why they continue to call me when they're the ones refusing to insure my vehicle is beyond me... idiots!

Can they create paperwork for you to sign for no off-road insurance like mine did?

I suspect this is what he's referring to... In that context he does make sense.

As I have commmunicated before, your only real option here is FA. They will insure your jeep, It wont come cheap, but it may not be as expensive as you think. Call a broker and ask for Facility Association quote, or a agent.

To me, it sounds like your not happy with the rules companies have, and you are trying to raise a stink til you get the rules changed. There is a reason for the rules, and there is outlets like I have suggested above and communicated at other points.

It looks like comerga has other important issues going on in his life, so he has not been able to follow up with the company he may have had in line, however, I think once it was looked at the risk is too high on paper, and thats where the answers come from.

To come on here name calling and insulting people isnt the best plan of attack. I have never met you nor have I formed a personal opinion of you, however, I think you feel like you deserve something as a reward?

My suggestion, bit the bullet, call and ask for a facility quote, they WILL insure your jeep modded.

    Cheers,

I also think a mod should be locking this thread up, as a solution has been posted by more then one person.

If your agent/broker cannot place the business on their " preffered books of business" you have the option of requesting a FACILITY ASSOCIATION quote.

    Background on FA.

Its non profit outlet for insurance. In Ontario auto insurance cannot be decined. There has to a be a outlet to insure every auto that is legally plated for road use. Hence Facility Assocation.

Just to clarify this statement, you were not told " No" you were told the option of using facility association.

You honestly believe you can find a loop hole in a industry that has more lawyers employed then you can even imagine? You need to sit down and read the oap1... you'll know what that is if you really think there's loop holes. I'd love to see the loop holes you discover.

Do you think I'm just pulling all the above information out of thin air?
In case you can't out it all together. I am a insurance rep. And have told you multiple times your option.

I cant believe it thats the only info he didnt give. it would have been helpful to know that at the beginning. Also why didnt you get my particulars and get a quote. You could use more buissiness yes? In all honesty, how were we to know you werent an armchair agent piping in,or maybe your Mom was one and you learned a thing or two from her , but now maybe old info!
    My appologies!!!

On another note I'll bet its frustrating when you post to help someone and they dont listen or another smartass ( like me) challanges you and your knowledge, right? I know all about it.

I think everyone needs to put their egos away for a while! But then again, drama is drama and some thrive for it, then the backs go up when it turns on themselves.

Im not referring to just one person here or just this thread. Some need to actually READ each word in a post before they go full retard with the same fawking questions that have been answered already!
I don't have an attitude problem, you're just an asshole!!

    Modified Jeep Insurance

Okay. My turn to step in. I have not gone through the whole thread to see what has/hasn't been asked/answered, but from what I have seen/read/heard EVERYBODY needs to sit back from their keyboard.

This section and this thread are here for the sole purpose of having somebody in the insurance industry answer our questions on insurance related matters.

Much like the SAVE forum, there is an official person who is to be answering the questions. Unfortunately that official person has not been able to answer due to medical issues. This has been mentioned in this thread but some people don't seem to understand that and are being neither patient or sympathetic to the matter.

CrazyKid has made some suggestions as to where you could get guaranteed insurance and regardless of whether he was or was not a representative of the insurance industry or not, you have not explored (or at least haven't stated that you have explored) that option.

CrazyKid is NOT the official person who should be answering these threads, he is aware of that, and that is the main reason he has not flat out stated that he is from the insurance industry. We here at JeepKings.ca have given some leeway on who is answering/commenting in this section because of the absence of our official insurance representative.

I am fairly certain CrazyKid would not be in the position of insuring our vehicles with full disclosure and I can GUARANTEE he would not put himself in a position where his company would be insuring a vehicle where he knows full disclosure has not been given.

As I have already stated, CrazyKid has given you what is very likely your only option for full disclosure insurance. Explore it.

    THIS THREAD IS NOW CLOSED.
