I do, but just getting hood time so I'm not taking that on. But I have someone that can do it and will do a STAND UP job of it as he is one of the best alum tig welders I've ever seen. But I'm aways from Windsor.

    two things....

first off why is this in hardcore? sounds to me more like a want to buy or a fabricators type thread.

Second.... I'm sure that there are about 100 Job shops or more in the Windsor area that have very qualified Aluminum TIG Welders that can do what your requesting.

    Have you done your research?

I got some Ideas of prices and they were hundreds and hundreads of dollars to get done I was hoping someone on here who could do it for less as I dont have an in into the industry. Why am I explaining my self to you. Dont like it dont read it. You dont have to come off as some dickhead. Ive done alot of low buck favors for fellow jeepers, geeze. Hard core was my first thought cause not very many fabricators can weld aluminum with as much heat as it takes. If the moderators had an issue with this they are more than free to move it. leave it to their judgment not yours

Why would you think that a fabricator wouldn't weld aluminum ? Also. If it was me the last person I would want welding aluminum pieces into hummer rims is a back yard fabricator (sorry guys i know that most of you are very skilled)

IMO( and you don't have to like it) pay the cash to have a pro do it so you know that you won't die on the highway. Or worse yet kill someone else.

I am a fabricator and I weld aluminum of various thicknesses up to and including an inch thick. It's not as easy to weld as steel.

    I guess I just don't know what I'm doing.

Why are you busting my balls? If you dont want to help just leave me alone! your comming off as some kind of prick. This is a free country I served to protect. You have the right to voice your opinion! I just prefer to make freinds not enemies. Legal and moral choices arent always the same. If you were broke down or stuck Id like to think I wouldnt just drive around you and visa versa. If you get my point

Not busting balls. Nor am I intentionally being a prick. But reality is do your homework. I'd you want cheap learn to do it yourself. If you want someone else to do it. Then pay the price.

And you said it. It's a free country and with that i have the right to speak as i wish and as you have stated you don't have to like what i have to say.

I know that I couldn't in good conscience take a risk that could potentially kill an innocent bystander just because I wanted to weld something on the cheap. Legally or morally.

I wouldn't leave any jeeper on the side of the road unless I have no choice to. Many can attest to that.

Oh and btw Thanks for serving.

Intents aside, you just have to do what comes naturally.

Thread closed before zippers are undone and size comparisons start.

Some words of advice to all.

Hardcore is for tech of the hardcore type. It is not to ask if somebody can provide a service.

If you are looking for somebody to provide a service use the want to buy section. There is no "chit chat" in the marketplace and none of this bullshit would have taken place if it was posted there.

Last, have an issue with a thread being in the wrong forum section, then click "report post"...have an issue with something somebody has posted, then click "report post".

The mods are not babysitters, we do not sit here every day reading every thread. Making a "mods can you BLAH BLAH BLAH" post in a thread does nothing to bring our attention to an issue. "Report post" does just that, it sends us a message letting us know something is up.

Don't know how to "report post"? Click the little gray triangle with the exclamation mark in it. It appears at the bottom left of every post in every thread. Type in a quick message so we know what the **** we are supposed to be looking at, then we will do with it as we see fit.
