    no spark

    4.2L engine. changed coil, cap, rotor, and still no spark. tried a different wire from the coil also. and no spark. what am i missing?

    you can take it out by removing the 3 bolts in the wheel well. I have one for sale if you want, but I'm in Aurora.

    order a spare !! lol anyone with a 4.2 has a extra one in the back loosen the wires and mount it on top of the fender or firewall for the next time and yes there will be a next time ...

    i had a problem with my actual distributor that it stalled and wouldnt start for about 10 mins got so bad it became dangerous to drive on highway ...the little tension spring was loose and made it move all over so it touched inside pull it out and see how much play there is in it

    but if yu never pulled one best to get a buddy who has bitch to get back in maybe get a buddy to crank it while u play with the advance a little where the tension spring is and see what happens try the crank and let off quick and see what it does
