Here is my toyota buggy i built over the last couple years. It has been fun, but i am getting bored, and am always looking for a new project.

This is the body i am swapping onto my toyota frame. Its a 1947 willys body i bought from a friends abandoned project. i really only plan on using the cowl, hood and grill from the willys.

Here is my progress i've been able to complete so far. It looks like the willys hood is going to be just about right to cover the engine bay.

The drivetrain will be carried over from the toyota:
toyota 8" axles front and rear, 4.10 gears, welded rear, locker front.
toyota 22r engine, transmission and dual transfer cases.
It will be a slow build, and i plan on starting the process of moving the firewall from the toyota to the willys this week.

Stripped the dash/wiring harness this week. I should be able to pull the rest of the toyota body off and start the firewall swap this week.

Upgrading the '83 with '47 parts is moving in right direction. Hope you go the other direction with a motor upgrade(90's). Keep the pics up.

I had to build a new firewall, and i grafted some of the firewall off my old toyota cab. Its coming along slowly, and i think i am going to have to lower the windshield frame 6-8".

It's running and driving. cage is done for now. i have to mount up the grill, and get my passengers seatbelts installed next.
The trans tunnel should be done sometime this week too, i just keep forgetting to bring steel home from work.

    Interesting build!

Any plans to stick some flat fenders on her?

I plan on linking it front and rear, lowering it a couple inches along the way. After that i will make some tube fenders, and grill surround.

Got my trailer almost all done, so i gave it a little flex test. damn this cheap buggy flexes good. My motor is sounding really sick though. Gotta find another 22r to swap in this winter. Click image for larger version.
