We'll be heading out shortly. You'll know when we get there because two teenagers and all their stuff will explode out of the jeep when we open a door

FYI guys, I just got word from our friends at KATVA that we have a few trees down in teh five points so expect some blockages perhaps. Doesn't sound too serious but I thought I'd give you the heads up as you're running an event. Take your chain saw in case you come across any and if you can do a quick trail report it woudl be appreciated as KATVA and us share them and corrdinate work from these reports coming in from both sides.

    Have a blast guys

    This just in

Quick report from our friends at KATVA, sounds like there maybe a few trees down in the more northern trails of the five points. Crystal Lake, Salmon Burn Bass Lake Trail.

Old Logging and Concession Lake are clear at the time of run today.Cheers

    Jeepkings 101 Weekend May 24 to 26

Thanks Brian, I will ensure all guides are aware of this and prepared, but I don't believe our plans at the present include the named trails.

I also posted in your thread with some info on two other trails in the area.

    OK, Thanks

If you're heading Canarvon way the trail index has a few things on it. I'm at work so I can't see the map but from the top of my head there is a washout on Pine Spring Road, passable with 4WD's and water levels on Turkey Run are slightly higher than normal. Black lake trails, all three, have higher than normal water levels however not crazy or anything to drastic.

I received your message Jeff with regards to the washout. this report came in last week as well and we place a call with no reply yet. I'll give them a shout again Monday afternoon and see if I can get a possible time frame of when the road will be fixed and post it up for everyone.

Going to give Algonquin Highlands a call as well as Black River road goes in and out of Brace Bridge and Algongquin. They may have a MOU for road maintenance due to its position.

Cheers, and I am glad to hear everyone had a great time.

Thanks to your reports guys I have placed a call to Algonquin Highlands and made them aware of the washout conditions on Black River Road and Pine Springs. They were not aware of the situation and will be going into assess ASAP. nice work everyone, That spot on Black River Road could be a huge accident waiting to happen.

If someone could put in a trail report via the OF4WD website it would be greatly appreciated so I can track its status and follow up as required.

    Cheers

    Hey all,

Just wanted to say thank you for the amazing weekend and now that I've got a taste of off-roading I am hooked. I learned a ton this weekend, had a great time and met some great people. I will get some pictures/videos posted as soon as I can in the picture thread.
