    additional brake/ turn lights on rear

    I have brake lights on my truck that are up pn a back rack for when I am towing with a dolly is this illegal?

    I can't see why having any extra lights would be a problem. If these however, are your only lights, you might want to refer to the Federal Motor Vehicle standards for lamps (there are a number of posts in this forum which refer to this document).

    no they are extras thx for the info I got stopped the other day the officer didn't know the law he asked me if they were legal
