    Offroad Lights....

    Hello officer,

I installed 100 Watt Off-road only lights on my Jeep and was wondering whether or not it is true that to legally drive around town they must have covers on them even if they are not turned on. Is this true ?

    Thanks in advance

Someone correct me if I am wrong.... But I thought that there was a physical limit to how many lights one was allowed to turn on at any given moment on the road. Which is why covers are mandatory for lights beyond iirc 6 including headlights.

I think we should wait for the officer to answer the questions at hand, hear say of stuff isnt always good advice.
Im not saying your advice is incorrect UTurn, but I think a definitive answer from the officer is what everyone ould like to see. I know I prefer answer with the referance to the HTA or some other published regulations.

    Offroad Lights....

IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SAID IN THIS THREAD BUT I AM GOING TO SAY IT AGAIN...the SAVE forum is setup for the SAVE officer to answer questions, not for the general user to attempt to answer or put their opinion in.

I will be cleaning up this thread and deleting posts later this evening. Take this as a warning and anybody who posts their opinion or attempts to answer from here in out will be dinged with an infraction.

As posted above, this topic has already been covered. Here is the link again for those who wish to check...

To answer the OP's original question, you DO NOT have to cover the unlit lights to meet the requirements, as is already mentioned in the thread linked below.

    I hope this helps!
