Jk engine swap, whats best ?

    hey everyone

my 07 wrangler is getting up there in mileage and ive been starting to consider an engine swap
    my options:

    Chevy LS
    or ...
is it possible to swap the old 3.8 with the new 3.6 ?

    any help would be appreciated!

my thoughts exactly, even if your doing 30k a year and that is a lot, that would only put it at 210k, my pick up which I bought used, was once an oil guard work truck, it is an 08 and has 163k, the 63k is mine in only 18 months as I drive long distances. SO forgot my point lol. Oh ya, how much km on the jeep?

Jk engine swap, whats best ?

For the cost of a conversion why wouldn't you consider buying a new or low km unit and selling yours and swapping all your goodies over?

nothing is wrong with it but the 3.6 has a significant power increase for being less displacement

this is making me sad... my poor 08 JKU is at 190K... and i havent even thought of what I should be considering engine wise in the future. I just assumed it will go to 300K without a problem.

Speaking of which, i need to get the oil changed.

You shouldn't be worrying because a 3.8 well taken care of should last 350-400k

im not worried about it, hence why im in no rush
i simply want the benefits in power and fuel eco that the 3.6 provides.
bwt, spoke to the guys at Just Jeeps,
simple swap, just the engine and ecu !
