    Jk Summer build

    Hey guys,
thought id document the work im doing on my JK this summer, seeing as I'm a student funds are limited, so every summer i try to focus on one area, last summer i did the front with a:
Rugged Ridge XHD bumper with stinger
    Smittybilt XRC8000 winch
    and a few other goodies
my goal for this summer is the following:

Staangs Fab custom rear stubby bumper/carrier
    Poison Spyder Tramp Stamp
Posion Spyder Bombshell Diff cover (44) with custom paint
Posion Spyder License Plate Delete Panel
    Teraflex CB Antenna Mount
    Cobra 75WXST CB
    Firestik 4' antenna
Rock Hard 4x4 License Plate Relocation Bracket & ORO PlateLITE
Dirtydog 4x4 Rear JK cargo netting
    Smittybilt XRC Fender Flares

We'll see how much I actually get to this summer without going broke!

So far im waiting on parts but in the mean time i removed the stock rear bumper, which is held with 6, 16mm bolts, super easy to remove. I bought some paint and painted the exposed frame all around my JK

More pre work, I removed the tire carrier and cleaned all under it. its held with 8, 13mm bolts.
other then that you need a T20 bit to get under the brake light to unclip the wiring harness. simple just annoying

    update !
stopped by Staangs Fab in Burlington today, after reading a bunch of poor reviews on the Rancho Bumper, I've opted to put out a bit more cash to have a custom fabricated bumper/carrier created. The plan is to keep a minimalist design, like the Rancho carrier, but one that will last and be strong enough to support a 44" tire one day.

Those are interesting tail pipes you have going on there. Is this Jeep intended to get wheeled?

Still waiting on my bumper but in the mean time i ordered some custom decals.
they will include hood decals that say "MEDUSA" for the sides
Medusa is what ive decided to name my jeep, one day it should be big enough to truly suit it.
also got a JEEPKINGS.CA decal for the windshield and ordered and AntennaX 13" stubby black antenna to replace the huge factory jk antenna

How well does that antenna work compared to stock?

Also, you can make your own cargo netting with basic tools. I have started mine and it's progressing much better than I expected. If you are driving by and see my Jeep on the driveway, feel free to check it out. I think I will have less than $40 in it by the time I get it all finished (that's for rear side and back "windows", a rear "roof", and maybe a little material left over).

I've actually noticed it to be a bit better, I actually get a little of 680 north of the 401. And for 20$ including shipping and a 5 second install , I think it's worth it
And ya I'll definitely have to stop by, that will save a ton of $$$ and give me something to do.

I have a set of JKU Dirtydog netting on my '11. I got the regular sides, back and the back seat roof area. Mike was great to deal with and I'm very happy with the product, both in fit and finish.
.......but.......if you can make your own.......saving money is always cool too.

I'll just plan to show up on Tuesday, it was super simple to make and I am happy to share my manufacturing "secrets" including stuff like "how to punch holes through webbing and burn yourself" ...
